Pinball FX3 Sorcerer's Lair Quick Reference

Skillshot
Only give it just enough power to reach the rollover just beyond the tree and fall straight back down. If successful, quickly hit Tower Ramp Mini-Orbit for a Super Skillshot.

Correct amount of power: Hold the plunger letting it go to max and keep holding it until it slowly returns to very low power and reaches this point. If you're in portrait mode in 16:9 your view is narrow so you can't see the little notch in the red circle. View 2 will reveal it.
Light the Kickbacks
Spell GHOST. You can use the Citadel Ramp to send the ball through the inlanes.
30 second Ball Save
There are 3 ways to activate the ball save:
  • Citadel Ramp --> hit ball with top left flipper. Do this 4 times.
  • Lock ball by 3x Tower Ramp
  • Lock ball in Gargoyle multiball sinkhole
Extra Balls (4)
  • Whisper
  • 6-way combo (can be repeated after midnight madness)
  • Elusion Mastery Combo 10x
  • Multiplier reach 10X (spell GOO) (resets when Ball drains)
Whisper Rewards (random)
  • 100k / 200k / 300k points
  • Kickback ("secret passage") activation
  • Extra ball
  • Hold Bonus; multiplier won't reset when ball drains
  • Crazy Bumpers
  • Crazy Spinners
  • Crazy Combo (?)
  • Stairway Is Collapsing: 3x Stairway Ramp (hurry-up mode)
Ghost Ramp
First hit: 50.000 points. Next hit with same ball 75.000, then 100.000, then 125.000 and so on. After 40 hits it's 1 Million per hit. If you lose the ball the score amount is reset to 50.000.
Obsidian Stones
Each Obsidian stone adds 0.5x to the Wizard Mode's score multiplier.
Obsidian Stones are obtained from:
    Combos / Hurry-up:
  • Elusion Mastery Combo 5x
    Left Orbit --> top right flipper into Ghost Ramp
  • Tower Crawler Combo
    Hit 3 runes to raise Stairway --> Stairway's Ramp --> Citadel --> Tower Ramp --> Stairway's Ramp
  • Freaky Forest hurry-up
    6x orbit (left or right) --> hit tree (Citadel Ramp) 3x.
    Main Missions:
  • Gates of the Void
  • Bones (40 sec)
  • Arachnid Attack
  • Behind the Walls
  • Crazy Ghosts (40 sec)
  • Creepy Cellar
    Multiball Modes:

Multiball Modes
Multiball Jackpot is increased by hitting Bumpers at any time during the game.
Resets to 1 Mil each time you get a Jackpot.

Gargoyle Multiball (3 balls)
3x: Tower Mini-Orbit opens Gargoyle sinkhole --> Top right flipper into sinkhole.
Hit all 6 ramps to collect JACKPOTS:
- Left Orbit
- Ghost Ramp
- Tower Ramp
- Tower Mini – Orbit
- Citadel Ramp
- Right Orbit
Then collect SUPER JACKPOT by hitting the Extra Ball Ramp, and you'll get an obsidian stone.

Sorcerer Multiball (3 balls)
Lock 3 balls into Tower Ramp by hitting it 3x3 times.
Objective is to send a ball to:
- Left Orbit
- Stairway's Ramp
- Citadel Ramp
Then lock remaining balls in Tower Ramp (hit it 3x per lock). Lock both to get an obsidian stone.

Whisper Multiball (2 balls)
7x Citadel Ramp to spell Citadel, to start.
Hit whatever ramp Whisper hovers over for a JACKPOT. These include: Ghost Ramp, Tower Ramp, Tower Mini-Orbit, Right Orbit.
Hit at least 5 JACKPOTS, then hit Citadel Ramp --> Extra Ball Ramp to finish. CURRENTLY SELECTED MAIN MISSION WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY COMPLETED.
If you haven't already scored 2 Obsidian stones with that mission it will also be awarded.
Main Missions
You have to complete a mission to an Obsidian stone. Completion of main missions isn't *required* though, to start Wizard Mode the FIRST time. It's required for the 2nd and later times.

To select a different mission, highlighted above right flipper, simply hit the bumpers.
To start the selected mission, hit all 3 Mission Runes to raise Stairway --> hit stairway's Mission Activation Sinkhole.
  • Gates of the Void
    Hit Whisper sinkhole --> Hit all 4 portals. Careful: the blue glowing ball has altered physics.
  • Bones (40 sec)
    Escape skeletons by hitting Tower Mini-Orbit and Left/Right Orbits, and the Bumpers.
    If you use Tower Mini-Orbit + Right Orbit you can combo them.
  • Arachnid Attack
    Mini-playfield, defeat the spiders.
  • Behind the Walls
    Part 1) Gear 1: Left flipper, then alternate right & left for each next gear.
    Part 2) Balancing platforms. (Left flipper tilts to the left, Right flipper tilts them to the right.)
    When ball comes back in play through right in-lane YOU CAN'T NUDGE PASS: nudge doesn’t work right after mini playfield.
  • Crazy Ghosts (40 sec)
    Hit all 6 Ghosts by going up the respective Ramps/Orbits. A little time is added on each successful hit. If you wait too long, ghosts you killed respawn.
  • Creepy Cellar
    Same Mini-playfield as Arachnid Attack but instead of spiders you destroy obstacles.
Wizard Mode - Midnight Madness
Completion of all 6 main missions isn't required to start Wizard Mode the FIRST time. Once you have activated the Wizard Mode once, without completing all of the Main Missions, the next time will require you to complete them all to gain access to the Wizard Mode (in the same game).

To start, hit the Mission Target/Sink Hole.

Part 1
Hit Whisper, who will move up the Ghost Ramp to the upper playfield, then move down the Extra Ball Ramp towards the Sorcerer. Either immediately hit Whisper on Ghost Ramp, or left flipper into Citadel, then use top left flipper (safer). If you save her you get another Obsidian stone. Part 2 starts regardless. When the timer runs out or you save Whisper, the Flippers will go limp and the Ball will drain. Don’t worry this is still part of the mode.

Part 2
Midnight Madness: 3-ball Multiball with infinite Ball Save for ~40 seconds.
Hit as many Ramps/Orbits as possible within the time limit. When the timer runs out or you save Whisper, the Flippers will go limp and the Ball will drain. Don’t worry this is still part of the mode.

Whatever you have scored in this mode is multiplied by a factor based on the amount of Obsidian Stones you have. Each Obsidian stone adds 0.5x to the Wizard Mode multiplier. You can have a maximum of 13 stones. If you finish Wizard Mode with 13 stones, the amount will reset to 0 afterwards, and you'll have to farm them again. If you finish Wizard Mode with 12 or less, the number of stones you have doesn't get reset at the end.

The table will now reset. If you saved Whisper during the first part of the Wizard mode, you will also get a Whisper Award.
