A few thoughts, speaking as a New Yorker - the Hudson River, which is properly represented alongside Long Island, is being cut off too short (going only two hexes). It looks like the river ending in Connecticut represents the rest of the river so it should move "west" to connect to where New York/Manhattan/Long Island is. There's also the Mohawk River which runs perpendicular to the Hudson River upstate.
Other random thoughts - New York City (or New Amsterdam) was known for its abundance of oysters and furs when it was initially settled. It might be worth throwing some extra bonus resources and more forests nearby.
Otherwise, great work and a ton of fun!
