Backstory

The logical step after making a comically tiny submarine, is to make an even smaller submarine, right?

^is what i would have said if i did, but i didnt. Think of this thing as more of a larger, older, more pessimistic brother to the Harrow

It larger, it fatter, it Soug, it slower, but more importantly, it more advanced and well equipped. I felt like making something larger and more capable, adding things like map, additional crew comfort, and sonar. It is also camouflaged for arctic waters, and has 2 lookout seats on the top of the tower.

Due to the size and weight, it is noticably slower with a shorter underwater endurance. this is sad and keeps me up at night, but not enough for me to find an actual effective fix. anyway heres the boring ♥♥♥♥:

Operating this thing is pretty much identical to the Harrow (link above aha), but there are some new systems that ill explain.

Sonar

A funky C-scope (shows detected targets from the perspective of the operator. The indicated number is that of the forward facing distance sensor, not a detected object). Just turn it on and look through it. Max range is 1000 meters, and the more opaque a dot is, the closer you are to it.

Generator

The old "Emergency power" switch has been removed due to the implementation of a new generator controller. It will take care of charging the batteries as quickly as possible, and then idling whenever a high enough percentage is reached.

Throttle

Due to the immense weight of this fat bastard, one electric motor wasnt enough. Therefore it has 2, and boy they are hungry. Due to this, travelling submerged at flank speed will (regardless of the fact that half of the damn thing is made out of batteries) make your battery life into a No. Therefore, when submerged, only one motor will be given power. When in a sticky situation however, the operator can push the throttle lever forward, and the second motor will be powered, giving full speed. It is recommended you use this when changing depth in any way Keep your depth and variometer in mind at low speeds, as this thing is slightly positively buoyant.

Sonar: Mine, but i have allowed a few people to use a more or less modified version of it, however i am not currently planning on releasing it to the workshop. Id rather you not use it tbh unless ive given you permission to
