All The Mods That I Use For The Witcher I
By Alin.
So, after a lot of people have asked me what mods do I use in each of my screenshots, I decided to list them all here. This is the most complete modding guide you can find on Steam, with over 63 mods to choose from.

BE AWARE: I did NOT make any of these mods, I just listed them in the guide, that is all. The credit goes to the great modders that made them. Just wanted to make that clear, so there will not be any misunderstanding.

Graphical Tweaks (Nvidia Only)

Nvidia users can improve the graphics of the game further with some tweaks in the Nvidia Control Panel, or Nvidia Profile Inspector.

⚫ Open Nvidia Control Panel, and select Manage 3D settings. Then program settings, and add the Witcher exe.

⚫ Set Anisotropic Filtering to 16x.

⚫ Set Multi-Framed AA (MFAA) to ON.

⚫ Set Power Management mode to Prefer Maximum Performance.

⚫ Set Texture Filtering - LOD Bias to Clamp.

⚫ Set Texture Filtering - Quality to High Quality.

⚫ Set Texture Filtering - Trilinear Optimization to OFF.

⚫ Adding HBAO+

⚫ Download Nvidia Profile Inspector.[github.com]

⚫ Open it, and search in the "Profiles" section, "The Witcher Enhanced Edition".

⚫ Set Ambient Occlusion Compatibilty to 0x0000002D (MechWarrior Online).

⚫ Set Ambient Occlusion usage to Enabled.

⚫ Set Ambient Occlusion setting to High Quality.

⚫ Now apply the changes.

Be aware, the AO will flicker at times, and your perfomance may also decrease. Just saying.

This is how your settings need to look both in Nvidia Control Panel and Nvidia Profile Inspector.

Search all these files inside Override and delete them.)

Installation

Nearly all the mods used for the Witcher need to be extracted in SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Witcher Enhanced Edition\Data\Override.

If you do not have an Override folder, create one and just move X mod there.
Other mods are installed in the Data folder directly. Always read the mod pages for more info.
As for Reshade, download the folder, extract it into your The Witcher Enhanced Edition\System folder, and you should be good to go.
Press "Home" on your keyboard to enable/ disable the effects. And the left arrow (<-) to enable or disable the preset as a whole. You can change the keybindings if you want via the Reshade menu.

Screenshots
I would like to showcase a few of the great shots i got with these mods and my Reshade installed.

Credits
Again, all the credit for EACH and EVERY mod goes to the authors. I do not take any credit for any of them.
Please do show them some love and endorse their mods at least, because the modders do this out of passion, and love for games, so they do deserve some respect.

Closing Words

This would be all. By default, all these mods are compatible to work with eachother. As long as you do not break anything and install everything as it should be installed. Please let me know in the comments if you have any problems, but bear in mind, that you will get better help from the authors of the mods themselves. If i do stumble upon another mod that i like, i will add it to the guide.
If you are one of the modders who's mod i have showcased in this guide, and you want it removed for whatever reason you may have, just let me know. I don't want to give the impression that i wanted to steal one's hard work.
Hope you found this guide helpful, and have fun.

And ’Better Dice For All Characters‘
This is a new mod upload at February 2024, I compared all the dice mods and like this one the best, easy to read and sparkly!:steammocking:

Very useful guide! Especially when I found some mods that useful but I was missing after I compared your guide. Very happy that there are still player who like The Witcher (2007) in 2024 and contribute to the community! After comparing your guide only these 2 mods your guide doesn't have and have worth to talk. These 2 mods not suitable for everyone. I'll just write it here. I hope you don't mind.:steamhappy:

1.wide screen fix
Download it from the pcgamingwiki, then unzip and replace the 'laucher.exe' file in the \System.It allows the game to work in the 21:9 or wider ratio, I haven't tested other ratio, but at least it can work at 21:9 with a little screen cropping
2.Rain fog remover
This mod can remove the fog . Some people like the fog effect, but I don’t like it. Just don’t like it.

Confirmed the Triss Eye mod works. Blue and beautiful!
Alin.  [author] 14 Apr @ 5:30am
Hi, I checked the game myself, and there were files missing from the Triss Eyes mod, I've fixed it, can you please redownload the updated versions and see if they work?
Sirvys 13 Apr @ 8:51am
Oh man my pleasure, and I don't care about any credit but thanks. I just know how frustrating it can be for a novice modder like myself when you can't find the info you're looking for, so I always try to add comments to help others.
Alin.  [author] 13 Apr @ 3:42am
I have to say I appreciate all the comments you have left. I'll be sure to introduce some of the tips to my guide, I'll give you credit, of course. At the moment I do not have the game installed, but I'll install it a bit later and see if I can get the Triss blue eyes mod to work.
Sirvys 12 Apr @ 9:53pm
Hope my comments are helpful and thank you so much for this excellent guide. I'll be checking it constantly for updates though out my playthrough (and checking your stuff off when I get to W2). Cheers!

A few comments for others who have decided to play this game and found this guide...

I personally did not let any of these mods maintain folders within the Override folder...I manually added all of the files as loose files and overwrote existing files as needed. Basically started at the top of your list and worked my way down with only a few exceptions.

Enabling Vertical Sync in my Nvidia control panel helped tremendously (I also have G Sync enabled).

The upscaled maps from Vanilla Remastered had yellow crosshatching in the lower left quadrant...I just searched for "maps" in the Override folder and deleted all of the in game maps. This fixed it. If you know how to make the upscaled ones work, please let me know!

Last but not least, I created a controller profile on Steam that I feel like is working pretty well so far. Once I get a little farther in and polish it, I will be happy to share it on Steam for anyone like me who hates mouse + keyboard.

oko_w does not seem to have any impact on Triss. I have confirmed there is not another oko_w anywhere in the game folder. I even tried changing the name of one of the NPC Eye Overhaul files to oko_w and still nothing. This isn't a big deal, but can not figure out a fix.
