Have you ever heard about godrays? Godrays are made by lighting tiny particles of dust. In fact dust diffuses light. These rays looks wonderful in any situation you can create. This calls volumetric lighting.

In some renders volume can look inappropriate, but can improve some other works.

That's not hard to add volume to world, just open shading tab and set up nodes like in the picture

If you don't want to add volume to the whole world:

1. Add cube and transform it how you prefer
2. Open cube's shader settings
3. Add volume scatter shader and delete principled BSDF.

Add light source and enjoy)!
