Does it do this when it's the only mod enabled? Or only when you enable it with other mods?

the civ doesn't appear in the dropdown list at all but the mod says its installed, both manual and subscribed versions do this for me

It will overwrite them, yes. I'm not sure what the issue could be. You say it appears as a mod in your list (and is enabled), but you can't select the civ?

I've done manual already and im alittle nervous to let my mods redownload as i've done personal edits to some of them and i'm unsure if they'll be overridden

@Raven Quill, Also, there's a manual download link in the description.

@Raven Quill, as I said to another person a while back, "That's a bug with Civ5 mods in general. The most reliable way to fix it is to exit the game and delete your civ5modsdatabase.db file in your My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/cache folder and let all your mods redownload."

I've tried both subscribing and manually downloading but the modded Civ does not appear in my civilization list, it shows that it's downloaded but otherwise does not work for me.

Does this civ have a rough-terrain start bias? Because both times that I've played as this civ, I've been next to Forests, Jungles, and Hills, which makes development hard in the early game.

@Spectrum: Done! Check the description.

Is it possible that you provide an external link for the download of mod? I can't download this mod through the subscribe button. I have tried many ways, but I still have that problem.
