This mod increases the durability of several weapons. Some weapons like the katana, the axe or the various firearms have their durability significantly increased. Other items like hammers or metal bars have their durability also increased but to a smaller extend. Improvised weapons like kitchen knifes or pans are not changed. For a detailed list of changes see the next section.





List of Changes:

Explanation: Each weapon has two values which are relevant for their durability: 1. Maximal condition (short: maxCon) and 2. Chance of lowering condition per hit (short: CoL). For example, the vanilla axe has maxCon = 13 and CoL = 1/22. If I get things right, this means that you can expect your axe to break after 13*22=286 hits. That's the reason why your brand new axe may already break after three days of usage. This mod increases the maxCon and the CoL values for various weapons to make them last longer. In a few cases it also reduces the damage of a weapon done to doors. Besides that, the stats of the weapons are not changed.

Here is a detailed list of changes (compared to vanilla):

Nightstick: maxCon = 15, CoL = 1/50 (vanilla: 15, 1/20)
Machete: maxCon = 20, CoL = 1/60, door damage = 5 (vanilla: 13, 1/25, 10)
Katana: maxCon = 20, CoL = 1/80, door damage = 2 (vanilla: 10, 1/15, 8)
Axe: maxCon = 20, CoL = 1/60 (vanilla: 13, 1/22)
Hunting Knife: maxCon = 15, CoL = 1/50 (vanilla: 10, 1/15)
All firearms (except sawed-off shotguns): maxCon = 15, CoL = 1/180 (vanilla: 10, 1/60)
Sawed-off shotgun: maxCon = 10, CoL = 1/150 (vanilla: 10, 1/50)
Double barrel sawed-off shotgun: maxCon = 10, CoL = 1/150 (vanilla: 10, 1/60)
Lead pipe: maxCon = 15, CoL = 1/30 (vanilla: 15, 1/20)
Metal bar: maxCon = 10, CoL = 1/20 (vanilla: 8, 1/15)
Metal pipe: maxCon = 10, CoL = 1/20 (vanilla: 8, 1/15)
Hand axe: maxCon = 15, CoL = 1/50 (vanilla: 10, 1/15)
Club hammer: maxCon = 15, CoL = 1/30 (vanilla: 10, 1/25)
Ball-peen hammer: maxCon = 15, CoL = 1/40 (vanilla: 10, 1/30)
Hammer: maxCon = 15, CoL = 1/40 (vanilla: 10, 1/30)
Crowbar: maxCon = 25, CoL = 1/100 (vanilla: 15, 1/70)
Pick axe: maxCon = 15, CoL = 1/40 (vanilla: 13, 1/20)
Baseball bat: maxCon = 15, CoL = 1/60, door damage = 2 (vanilla: 15, 1/20, 5)
Spiked baseball bat: maxCon = 13, CoL = 1/20, door damage = 4 (vanilla: 15, 1/10, 7)
Wood axe: maxCon = 15, CoL = 1/50 (vanilla: 15, 1/25)
Seldgehammer: maxCon = 15, CoL = 1/50 (vanilla: 10, 1/40)
Pipe wrench: maxCon = 10 , CoL = 1/30 (vanilla: 10, 1/25)
Wrench: maxCon = 10, CoL = 1/20 (vanilla: 9, 1/15)
Spear with hunting knife: maxCon = 10, CoL = 1/25, door damage: 1 (vanilla: 9, 1/8, 7)
Spear with machete: maxCon = 15, CoL = 1/30, door damage = 4 (vanilla: 12, 1/10, 10)





Compatibility:

- works with single player in build 41.78; not yet compatible with build 42

- multiplayer: use at your own risk when playing multiplayer; I did a few test runs as a host and everything seems to work fine; but I am not an excessive multiplayer by myself, so I cannot say a lot about the topic

- compatibility with other mods: just try; may cause conflicts with mods changing any item from the above list

- mod version: 1.0

NOTE:

This mod overhauls all weapons mentioned in the list above. A game update which changes any of those weapons will therefore have no effect if the mod is enabled. I'll try to keep the mod up to date if I have the time.

@Tnaz.v, it only affects the vanilla weapons mentioned in the list above. Modded weapons are not touched by the mod.

Does it also modify the resistance of other weapon mods (snake and others) or is it only for vanilla?
