Keeping Custom Made Empires While Changing Mods

This is for my MP group while we are changing mods or confirming the checksum. Following these instructions will make sure we can keep our custom empires and not have to worry about recreating them every time we go through this process.

From there you will see:

Click into Documents where you will then see this folder:

Click into it and you will see this folder:

Click into this folder and you will see this txt. File at the bottom of the file

Click Into your file explorer:

From there you will see:

Click into Documents where you will then see this folder:

Click into it and you will see this folder:

Click into this folder and you will see this txt. File at the bottom of the file

Right click this file and click copy
Then go back to your desktop and paste the file there (right click -> paste)

After mod changes are done right click the file on the desktop and paste it back into the Stellaris folder that we routed to before. That will keep empires mostly intact, with mod changes some will have errors, but the vast majority will remain intact and usable.

Actually glad someone made a guide about this, kudos to you, some people will stumble across this and be like "oh shit, I can do this to keep a backup of my empires"

You'd be surprised how many people I have run into that didnt keep a backup and lost a ton of rp-empires and lore and shit x.x
