An update for version 1.14.* of this mod: Link

Features
  • There will be ~130 German generals added through an event at the start of the game.
  • You can choose if three of the generals will be added to Austria.
  • You can choose if Blomberg should be the only field marshal in 1936.
  • You can choose to have the military advisors as generals as well.
(If you add the three generals Austria, however, it is very possible that at least one of them will be field marshal after the Anschluss of Austria. However, there is no way to prevent that).

FAQ
  • Q: Is this mod compatible with other mods?
  • A: Since the generals are inserted by event, the mod should be compatible with other mods. Problems can only occur if the names (variables) of the generals are used again. I think this is very unlikely, but it would be possible with overhauls like Black Ice.

    Apart from overhauls, you only need to be careful with mods that add or change advisors, as you may need to use option C.

  • Q: Is this mod Ironman compatible?
  • A: No.

  • Q: Are the generals overpowered?
  • A: In this mass and with the many abilities? Absolutely.

  • Q: Is the mod multiplayer compatible?
  • A: Probably, if all players have it activated. However, the question is whether anyone really wants to compete against such a cheat Germany?

  • Q: Is the mod compatible with game versions before NSB (1.11.x)?
  • A: No. This is because Paradox has changed the way generals are created. For this reason, the mod will not work with overhauls that use an earlier game version (such as Black Ice). If you want to play with an earlier version I recommend the original mod from actic. However, this is basically "hardcoded" (as it changes a file from the base game) so it can only be used with other mods in a relatively limited way.

  • Q: Can you add this or that general?
  • A: Maybe when I have time, however I think there are enough generals as it is and you can't use them all in one game anyway.

  • Q: This general belongs to Austria. Can you add it or move it?
  • A: Sure! I haven't gone through all the generals again, so I may well have forgotten one or two.

  • Q: I have a localisation file here. Can you add it?
  • A: Absolutely! I only know German and English and have translated the other languages with a translator. For this reason it is also very possible that the translation is very bad. best is to upload the loc file at googledrive and send me the link, then I will include it.

  • Q: The launcher says the mod is out of date. "update please" etc.
  • A: As long as Paradox doesn't change the way generals are created or events work the mod will work. I'm not going to update the version number with every little update and it definitely doesn't motivate when someone asks for an update 100x.

Could you make a version of the mod with all Generals that died or were dismissed before January 1945 removed? It would be a great thing. Also, some of the "generals" in here never rose to the rank of General.

Hello! I love your mod very much. It's an extraordinary work. But enabling this one with the historical portraits mod would make the game a little weird and it's kind of driving me crazy. I'd like to know if I can make a historical style portraits submod of this mod, with your permission and credit of course. I am searching photos myself currently. Totally fine if inappropriate! Thank you for the great mod again:)

This is an amazing mod! If I may suggest you could expand it into a full generals rework since most countries (even majors) are lacking a lot of famous commanders or when present they have strange stats/habilities.:steamthumbsup:

Excellent mod. Obviously, 4gewinnt put a lot of work and love in it. However, Germany is overpowered as f*** now. The Poland campaign took me only 8 days. Never been this fast. So, very reluctantly, I decided to deactivate this mod... (sigh)
