For safety reasons, I will still keep the guide as is (for now) but I am going to flag for people to save the Cursed Sword of Artorias for last; that really cuts the NG++ run way shorter if you do not need to take out Sif a third time. It does also make a lot of sense too when you think about it - all other Bosses just have two Boss Weapons to make. The Cursed Sword IS a different Weapon from the original Sword of Artorias, but it looks identical & is kind of a secret Easter Egg.
As for Gwyndolin, losing out on the Anor Londo Bonfire is kind of a pain, but at that point in the game/\guide, we don't really need to traverse through that area much if we have the Duke's Archives & Gwynevere Bonfires accessible. Regardless, I will add a disclaimer stating exactly this, that the Anor Londo Bonfire will be disabled & you can also verse Gwyndolin whenever in your playthrough including right before beating the game at the Kiln.
Just two remarks:
- In my playthrough i didnt need the 3rd Sif soul to unlock Knights Honor, maybe it counted the third boss weapon from a different character save?
- I recommend killing Gwyndolin later in the NG+, because i missed the Anor Londo bonfire, its more of a QoL thing
Second, I have some tips that may help people for the end grinding when crafting infused/boss weapons:
- You do not need 2 copies of Enchanted Falchion and Occult Club. When you're done with one of the infuse achievement, you can just remove the infusion and proceed with the second one (it keeps the +5 infused upgrade). I got all these achievements in NG with one copy of them.
- For boss weapons similarly, you can remove all the infusion on the Falchion, Club and the 2xLightning Spear. They keep their upgrade (Falchion and Club at +5, Spear at +10) which save you 36 TS and 18 LTS. I don't know if there are other item that could help with that as well, but that's still something :)
Cheers
As the OG Dark Souls 1 fan that I am, though there aren't direct Achievements involved, the AotA DLC is a good playthrough.
