Gordon + Alyx Material Fix [S2FM]

Описание
Intended for SFM users, this addon includes several material fixes including

Now including a fix for Alyx's materials which includes fixed hair, mouth, normal map and diffuse textures
Thanks to Komegatze for their assistance.

Features:
  • Suit texture seams reduced
  • Transmissive face texture
  • Face texture fixes (eyebrows and cleaned up issues)
  • Hair transparency fixes (headcap texture fixes, hair cards correctly appear)
  • Glasses frame texture cleaned normalmap and better looking
  • Glasses correctly sort transparency of eyeshadow texture
  • Correct mouth texture including inner mouth AO
  • Additionally includes a fixed teeth material

To install this to your own tools copy everything in the VPK located at steamapps\workshop\content\546560\2667966347\2667966347.vpk to the game folder of your tools addon located at steamapps\common\Half-Life Alyx\game\hlvr_addons\ *addon_name*

Full Content files for your own modifications of the materials or an enhanced version of Gordon's model is provided here

It's "enhanced" only because of the hair mesh fix. Mostly, this is meant for having the complete content files so you can edit anything from the materials to the model itself.

The biggest use you'll find out of it is disabling shadows on the hair mesh if it isn't looking good (and if it doesn't completely disable the shadows on the entire model because Source 2 likes to be fun like that.) Also useful for changing the glasses material because it can still occasionally sort transparency incorrectly.

What's the difference between the enhanced gordon model and the original?

Does this affect the game itself? I know we only see these models for a split second but it would still be cool.

Again, I never bothered recreating the content files for Alyx's model because it didn't need any small model edits (it would be difficult for me to fix all of her character face flexes.)
This addon only includes texture and material fixes for her which you should be able to decompile using SourceIO and VRF if you need to do any material edits.
If you really do actually need my source textures or really need Alyx's model recreated then feel free to add me.

I never bothered recreating the content files for Alyx but it wouldn't be hard for me to do. You should be able to decompile the textures from the addon using SourceIO or VRF.
If you really need my source textures or really need Alyx's model recreated then feel free to add me.
