Resources
In Pandora there are 4 important resources you require to get your city off the ground.

Food-Simple and common food is required for your cities to grow larger and support a larger population. A positive balance of food means your population is able to grow and your supply is increasing. Yet if you have a negative balance of food means that your people are running out of food, which leads to your population dwindling. Food is the key to growing your economy in all factors in Pandora.

Minerals-Gathered from mining they are the key to you growing your industrial power. Minerals are gathered by miners which are converted to production by workers. A positive balance of minerals means you are building up your stockpile while a negative balance means your producing more production then your minerals can support. This can be rectified by increasing your miners or decreasing your workers.

Science-Produced by scientists in your cities they can be increased or decreased to speed up your research. Research is completed by the build up of science in your resource counter. Its the easiest resource to control and quite important for advancement of your economy and military.

Credits-Gathered through taxes of your population, credits are used to fund your military upkeep as well as purchasing units and buildings. Credits can make or break your military operations be it conquest or defense.

Outside of these there are also Morale, Production and Pollution.

Morale-Important for your cites its a modifier more then a resource but it can be controlled as well. High morale leads to positive modifers, while low Morale leads to civil unrest and negative modifiers to your city.

Production-Pretty self explanatory but you need production to construct units and building using minerals gathered by your miners.

Pollution-A negative modifier against your city polution is produced by specific buildings or local terrain near the city. Pollution damages your morale and slows your produciton of food and minerals.

TO be added to this is the fact that all of these can be modified by tile improvements and structures to improve accumation of your resources.

Units
These are the basic unit types.

Troopers-The basic unit they can move two tiles a turn not including terrain factors, they can be equipped with unique weapons unlike other unit types including flame thrower weaponry and sniper rifles.

ATV-Your first motorized vehicle the atv is lightly armored but moves 3 tiles a turn. It can be equipped with most standard weaponry.

Tank-A heavier vehicle then the ATV the tank has more armor and more capable of conquest.

Mech-The ultimate in ground combat the mech unit can be equipped with most weapons and has the heaviest armor.

Aircraft-The aircraft units can move the greatest distance but are incapable of conquering cities but are more efficent at open combat.

Naval-The naval unit is capable of open combat in the ocean as well as conquest of coastal cites. They also second as defense for naval transports of troops across the ocean.

You need to talk about Growth. It's a key mechanic and litterally screws you if you don't understand it.
