Descripción
Over the course of some one thousand years and three great migratory waves, the Hyur have come to be the most populous of the civilized races in Eorzea. Compared to the others, theirs is an average physique, both in terms of height and build. The Hyur champion personal freedom and liberty, and their espousal of an eclectic variety of languages and traditions is a legacy of their diverse heritage―as is their resulting lack of a unified cultural identity.

This mod adds the Midlander and Highlander Hyur races from Final Fantasy XIV to RimWorld!



Mod Features

  • Introduces the Midlander and Highlander Hyur from FFXIV.
  • Hyur skin color and hair color are sampled from the FFXIV color palettes.
  • Compatible with all normal hairstyles and human apparel.
  • Uses backstories from A Rim Reborn - Core.
  • As an Eorzean race, has Flowing Aether. Please see A Rim Reborn - Core for more details.
  • Adds Hyuran Tunic, Hyuran Breeches, Hyuran Chemisette, and Hyuran Skirt apparel.

Mod Compatibility



  • This mod requires A Rim Reborn - Core to function.
  • This mod is currently not Combat Extended compatible, but support is planned for the near future.

Known Issues

  • Hyuran apparel can be worn by any humanoid colonist, but artwork is only currently implemented for their respective gendered body types plus the Thin body type. Placeholder textures may appear if they are worn by other races.
  • This mod DOES NOT add any additional factions. Hyur will currently only appear as part of the mixed-race "Eorzean Colony" faction.

@Brit No! - I posted on the Core mod comments, but yes: A Rim Reborn 0.3.0 is currently being worked on for RimWorld 1.4. :)

@Strix6969 - Sort of? Hyur have the appearance of normal humans with the exception that they use the character creation color palettes from FFXIV for both skin and hair, but in terms of mechanics they also use the A Rim Reborn backstory pool instead of the vanilla pool and also have Flowing Aether that lets them interact with some A Rim Reborn-specific content.

Outside of that, yes, hyur are the "normal humans" of FFXIV. :)

@Pikaguif - Thank you for the report! Unfortunately, this is an issue that occurs with Humanoid Alien Races ever since 1.3 came out and they're still trying to figure out exactly what combination of alien races causes this to happen. Until they find a permanent solution, I would recommend turning off the pawn rendering cache, either by using Vanilla Expanded Framework's mod settings (if you use VE) or a mod like HD Pawn Rendering. Apologies for the inconvenience!

I just opened up a save after not playing on it for a couple of days and all my hyurs are now small, any idea as to why that happened and how to fix it, as the rest of the saves have the same isse

Sadly I just want the races, not the other stuff.....at least for now. I use too many mods, and just the races would be safer to add.
