The cause of Negativity
Before we dive in, how about a cup of coffee for a better mood?

You enjoy the "coffee", don't you?

What if I tell you that liquid is not delicious coffee but chemical substances; will you still be in the mood to drink it?
Well... it depends because there's no certain way to tell what that is.

It's the same for negativity and positivity. If you see and think of things, people in a pessimistic, toxic way, your emotion will be doleful. And if you do the opposite, your emotion will be joyful.
Once emotion gets the better of you, even the smartest person on earth can't get a grip of themself.

In order to deal with your inner-self negativity, you must control your conscious mindset and turn it to the positive side, but how?

It's simple yet difficult, take a break and learn to control your breath first. As long as the breath is stable, the consciousness will remind you to stay positive, but when it becomes unstable, it's not you who control yourself but emotions.

Bad emotions breed toxicity toward yourself and others!

When you lose self-control, your heart might be racing or pump irregularly from time to time. All emotions, good or bad, start from your heart. By controlling your breath, you control your heart, thus control your emotions.

Try this during your next DBD match: clearing your mindset*, relaxing your whole body and focusing solely on your breath from start to finish. It might sound easy but doing so is extremely hard under the circumstances and you will notice a huge difference.
How to avoid Negativity
Take a look at this picture for a moment

I want you to think of these 2 things as followed:
The cup is your mental state.
The water is all the toxicity, bad things from others you've been dealing with, it flows eternally and there's absolutely no way to stop it.

If you let the cup fully filled, you will be in a forever loop of toxicity and have extremely bad mental state that might harm you and others, so...
Can you stop the cup from being fully filled?

.
.
.

Let's check it out:

Tilt the cup to let water out

By doing this, you still let bad emotions in but your mind won't reach an uncontrolled mental state of raging (aggressive) or depression (passive). You might hear the word "tilted" among gamers, it means they're mad, frustrated yet their feelings are somewhat controllable just like the water yet to fully fill the cup.
It's the lowest level of self-consciousness and normal for ordinary people to feel this way.

-Toxicity: I hope you ♥♥♥ and rot in HELL!
-You: Go ♥♥♥♥ yourself.
-Toxicity: Lmao, you MAD bro?
-You: No you're mad, I never get mad you piece of ♥♥♥♥, ♥♥♥♥ off! (leave with middle finger)

Push the cup away

By pushing the cup away, it's the easiest solution to avoid bad emotions. You can do this by ignoring bad things coming at you. It stings a little bit but you are determined that it's not worth your time and effort so you move on without mentioning it again.
It's the medium level of self-consciousness and not many people can walk away like this.

-Toxicity: Get REKT!!!
-You ...
-Toxicity: Your so BAD!
-You (leave the chat)

Turn the cup upside down

By turning it upside down, not only do you prevent water from getting inside the cup completely but you also let all the water out. It's achieved by letting go of your... EGO, think of everything and everyone positively.
Turning the cup upside down equals turning the negative energy into positive energy.
It's the highest level of self-consciousness and extremely small number of people can do this.

If people trigger you, insult you, say bad things about you... just be grateful and appreciate it, as they are the best teachers to train you how to control your bad emotions for free.

-Toxicity: GG EZ U SUCK
-You: Thanks, I do make mistakes but I'll learn and try my best next time.
-Toxicity: What a ♥♥♥♥, good job tunneling, camping, slugging NERD
-You: Nice to meet you too, good day mate!

No matter the approaches, any bad emotion will fade away as time goes by, as long as you let it go and won't bring it to mind.
Time can heal all emotional wounds but it's YOU who choose to be healed or not.
Spread the Positivity
"A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle"
Everybody deserves positivity not negativity, no one is born wicked, they are just unlit candles in the darkness who are waiting for a light source to brighten their life.

Once you get rid of the negative energy, the last and ultimate thing to do is to spread the positive vibes to others, it doesn't cost you anything. Even if there is, it's a small amount for happiness not only to you but to others as well.

With that I hope you have a good time playing DBD and on a larger scale: a better mental state and healthy life.

Toxicity lasts indefinitely, in this game or real life, you can't have good things if there's no bad things and vice versa.
