Damage Dealing and Hit Counts

Heavy Hitter
Deliver a blow in battle that deals 9999 damage or more.

Fists of Steel
Deal a 99999-damage blow in battle.
An easy way to achieve this is to use the Hellblade job with another job that has high HP. Be sure to equip the "HP/MP Converter" ability from a level 15 Red Mage and the "Surpassing Power" ability from a level 12 Hellblade. In battle, use the skill "Ultima Sword" from a level 13 Hellblade and if you have max HP, you should be able to hit 99999 without crits.

Shower of Blossoming Bruises
Perform a combo of 16 hits or more using the 'Attack' command.
Hit-count is determined by level and Speed.
You can also buff your attacker with the skills "Quick" or "Quickga" from an Oracle to help reach a higher hit-count.

Barrage of Black and Blue
Perform a 32-hit combo using the 'Attack' command.
This will require the ability "Frenetic Fighting" from a level 14 Phantom to be equipped.
Buff your attacker with the skill "Quickga" from a level 13 Oracle to help reach the 32-hits.

Pokemon Beastmaster
There is unfortunately not a way to track how many monsters you have captured besides manually counting how many monsters you have on hand via Beastmaster job commands. I just tried to catch one of every monster that I came across and was able to get all three achievements.
Be sure to use Mercy Strike and Mercy Smash skills to make your capturing easier.

Monster Tamer
Capture 50 monsters.

Monster Whisperer
Capture 100 monsters.

Monster Master
Capture 300 monsters.

Death Defier
Complete all Halls of Tribulation.

A Dragon...? Whoa...

Then, examine the monolith in Rimedhal's graveyard area to start the fight.

Complete 5 side quests.

Troubleshooter
Complete 25 side quests.

Problem Solver
Complete 50 side quests.

Full-Time Fixer
Complete 80 side quests.

Item Enthusiast
Complete the Item Guide.

Weapon Worshipper
Complete the Weapon Guide.

Armour Aficionado
Complete the Armour Guide.

Monster Maniac
Complete the Monster Guide.
This achievement requires all information to be filled out about the monsters, not just obtaining their log in your guide. This means you have to find out all of their weaknesses, strengths, dropped items and stealable items.
EDIT: I have been told that this one actually does not require all information to be filled out about each monster. It could be that you just need to defeat every monster in the monster guide. So if you're stuck on this, make sure that you've killed the Secret Boss as well as killed each type of Wiki Wikis before they run away from you.

For the "Barrage of Black and Blue" you need to be somewhere between levels 65 to 70 (probably 70) in addition to the "Frenetic Fighting" passive and "Quickga." The number of hits performed scales with level

Pretty sure it's just overall, not unique. :catapple:

Do we know if multiple of the same monster count towards monster master, or does it have to be 300 unique monsters?

"I just tried to catch one of every monster that I came across and was able to get all three achievements."

Or, y'know, have a launch-model Switch with CFW, transfer the save to your Switch, and use the "Capture/Off the Leash use max" cheat to get 99 of each, along with the "Enemy HP/MP 1" cheat to make catching guaranteed...since unfortunately the former cheat doesn't seem to exist for this port...not sure why. I've tried Cheat Engine tables and WeMod, but nope, seems to be Switch-exclusive, the former cheat. Shame.

Ok.... It is confirmed. Apparently there is a hidden monster, the KING WIKI WIKI. You do need to kill him to get the achievement. Apply bare-knuckle brawler, bloody minded, and make sure to not have any weapons on... Use thief skill God-Speed Strike and you get the achievement! Thanks for this post.

Hi FiercestRed,
Shinryu below has confirmed that you do not need to fill out the monster guide with drops, weaknesses, and steals, so I believe the requirement to unlock this achievement would be to actually defeat every monster you've come across. If you're still missing it and have seen everything, I would guess that maybe the wiki-wikis ran away before you could kill them?
FiercestRed 17 Feb, 2022 @ 9:31am
I see the mention above about not needing to complete but I have all the monsters filled out no ??'s and I even beat the hidden boss.
FiercestRed 17 Feb, 2022 @ 9:29am
I am trying to complete the monster guide and I have it all done. Do I have to get all steals and all dropped items done too?!? This can't be right that would take forever!

@yuhei, Thanks for the quick reply, hopefully what they were talking about is the End-game boss, I think they said it was in chapter 2, but I'll start my playthrough asap, thanks for the help.
Yuehai  [author] 23 Dec, 2021 @ 8:45am
@Toast, hello! No, I did not encounter any missable equipment in my playthrough. I think what your read about the missable Axe might come from the Berserker boss in the endgame which you can freely fight as many times as you want.
