Intro
If you're reading this guide, it's because you have impeccable taste in women. Maybe you enjoy the thrill of taboo, or want to play the most dangerous game of all. This guide is for you.

In this guide, you will learn how to thaw the ice in Camellia's heart. The journey will be perilous. The danger will be ever-present. Many of you will give in to silly pangs of regret, or qualms over morality, or flee in weakness at the realization of what you've become. Those of you who make it to the end, I can't guarantee your sanity or happiness. Let's begin.

Foundation
You must be a man to romance Camellia. You can not be Aeon, Lich, or Swarm. Certain alignments and personalities will make for a more cohesive narrative, however any alignment will technically work. For this guide, I went Demon mythic path - chaotic evil.

You should bring Camellia with you in your party at all times, the guide will assume you do.

There will be countless spoilers of every kind imaginable in this guide.

This guide aims to demonstrate the "perfect" Camellia romance, achieving all of the good romance flags and none of the bad flags. It is not possible to achieve all good romance flags and restrict Camellia from pursuing her passion for murder. This guide assumes you're fully committed to performing heinous acts. However, it should still be useful to those who choose the "imperfect" route and restrict her from killing.

Chapter 1
Camellia is the first love interest that you recruit. Despite meeting her so early, she will have very little interest in romance for quite some time. During Chapter 1 there are two decisions you must make to ensure success going forward.

First thing's first. After making your way through the shield maze and fighting Minagho, you will find yourself in the Defender's Heart. Standing at the bar will be Camellia. Exhaust the dialogue options as you see fit, however pay special attention to dialogue option 4.
Selecting it will bring up the following options. Here you must select option 2.
This is one of the elusive good romance flags, and ensures we start the romance of Camellia properly. We also learn that she appreciates politeness and decorum. Fine qualities in a woman. But the fun has only just begun.
Gwerm Family Secrets
The next thing we must take care of in Chapter 1 is the quest "Gwerm Family Secrets". This is a sort of pseudo-companion quest for Camellia, and therefore it's crucial that you complete it and preferably early. In this playthrough, I head there straight after the marketplace. Be conservative with your resting. You receive the quest from Horgus, who stands near Camellia at the bar in the tavern.

The quest itself is very straightforward, and you can't make any mistakes here. Just make sure you complete it. If you want to earn some good boy points, then tell Camellia you will keep her secret.

With that out of the way, you've discovered Camellia's most terrible secret, at least from her perspective. We know Camellia appreciates status, so in her eyes being illegitimate would be her biggest flaw. Perhaps this explains the disdain she has for her mother. Hopefully the fact that she's a bastard isn't a deal breaker for you, reader. We will have to wait a long time until the next spicy moment with our loveable half-elf. We'll pick up where we left off in Chapter 3.

Chapter 3
It's been awhile since our last rendezvous, but we're jumping back on the love train. A couple of days after exploring Areelu's lab and finding the lexicon of paradox, you'll get the following event card. Choose to investigate it.

After two weeks or so, upon entering Drezen you'll be stopped by Anevia at the gate.

Make sure you agree to search for the crusader.

Our destination is in the southeast of Drezen, at a location labeled Abandoned Building.

Once inside, make your way downstairs into the basement. Examine the closed door, then open it. You'll come across Camellia in a somewhat compromised state. Listen to her explanations, ask her whatever you like, but do not attack her. Finally, ask what she is proposing.

This next choice has consequences. For the purposes of this guide, we won't let silly things like conscience get in the way of our pursuit of Camellia. Choose the Chaotic option and let her continue the ritual.

While it is possible to romance Camellia and restrict her from killing, you run the risk of earning her wrath. More importantly, it's boring. In this guide you will learn how to be a loving and supportive partner, so we won't worry about such hypotheticals.

After she completes the ritual, you get an opportunity to double down on being a good boyfriend. Make sure you take the evil option.

Camellia will then proposition us. What sort of man leaves a woman wanting? There's only one correct answer here. Choose #1.

Camellia tells you she would like to speak to you later, and we shall do that soon. However Anevia is still waiting for us outside, we must make sure she won't be a problem first. Upon exiting the abandoned building, Anevia will stop you. Tell her it's been dealt with, or to forget about it.

And with that, we've successfully completed Camellia's first companion quest. We are now one step closer to holding the keys to Camellia's heart. Life for the Knight-Commander has just gotten a bit more interesting, to say the least. In the next section we'll get some conversation stuff out of the way.

I'd just like to compliment the amazing voice actress they found for Camellia. Equal parts alluring and revolting. But mostly alluring, of course.

Conversations
Now that we've become more intimate with our quarry, there are some interesting and candid conversations to be had. Nothing critical, but fun if you want the full Camellia experience. (and I'm sure you do)

First up is Camellia's father, Horgus Gwerm. He has a new conversation option.

Horgus gives us his perspective on the whole ordeal, but also mentions we should talk to Camellia herself. A fine idea.

After talking with Camellia, you'll see that her dialogue tree has been completely changed. There is one crucial question we must ask to officially get the romance under way. Choose option #1 to ask her about herself.

Then choose #7 to ask if she'd consider a more conventional romance, something other than frenzied blood-lust sex. I know, it sounds boring, but it's important to at least ask.

Camellia's answer will be predictable. Of course romance sounds boring compared to ritualistic murder-sex. Unfortunately, we don't get an option to tell her we don't mind sticking with just the murder-sex. However, she promises to think of something.

Exhaust the rest of her new dialogue as you see fit, there is nothing else of consequence here. Avoid telling her to leave, or that what happened between you was a mistake, or that you can't tolerate her atrocities. Camellia will react positively to chaotic and evil options.

Every man should find a woman who looks at them the way Camellia looks at the Knight-Commander.

Now that we're privy to her secret, Camellia considers us to be her best friend. Friendship is nice and all, but our Knight-Commander isn't going to settle for being friend-zoned. We'll have to wait and see what Camellia is planning for our first date.

Strategy
Immediately after the previous conversations, go out into the wilderness and camp. Upon waking, Camellia will wish to have a private conversation with you.

Choose option #1, then #2.

Choose option #1, then #4.

It should be noted that during my playthrough while writing this guide, I had missed this scene entirely. However for the sake of guide completion I reloaded an earlier save and found it so I could take screenshots. If for some reason there are differences in dialogue between your game and the guide going forward, this scene is the cause. Please let me know if that occurs. It is a fun little scene though, and sets up nicely for what is about to occur.
First Date
After an uncertain amount of time, enter the Commander's war room where Camellia will surprise you in your chambers with wine. The amount of time you must wait to trigger the date depends on how quickly you completed content in Chapter 3. In this playthrough I waited about two weeks, but it can take up to a month or two. Use the skip time button on the bottom left of the screen to save you some headache.

After the initial greeting, Camellia will tell you that she just wants to be friends with benefits, nothing more. This is unacceptable of course, but we'll have to play along for now. Do not choose option #4 or the romance will end.

Next she offers you a drink. You can pass a Knowledge: Arcana check here, but it isn't necessary. Ask her anything you like, just make sure not to decline the drink or the romance ends.

You can toast to whatever you like, just don't refuse the drink here either. Pleasure seemed the most appropriate, so that's what I chose. You will go the balcony with her for a bit of risk-free public exposure. Ask her anything you like, just make sure you touch the woman. No time for second thoughts here, it's time to let passion take over.

And with that, our first date with Camellia is a success. I think. Doesn't matter, had sex.
But it's unlikely that a girl like Camellia will be entertained by such escapades for long. We'll have to keep on top of our game. Talking to Camellia after the date results in a few new dialogue options. Choose "I want to talk about us."

This results in Camellia playing coy and fishing for compliments. Indulge her. Choose option #1 multiple times until you get to the following dialogue. It is critical that you choose option #2 or #3. We want a happy ending, don't we? I choose option #2. A little threat of violence should get Camellia's blood pumping. Plus I was banging Wenduag on the side, so option #3 just seemed dishonest.

Talking to Camellia and choosing dialogue option "Does your spirit want the blood of anyone in particular?" will enable you to discuss potential targets for Camellia's ritual. In my run I only had two potential sacrifices, but you might have more depending on who you've captured. I gave her the impostor who pretends to be Sosiel's brother, but kept Hulrun alive since he comes in handy in act 5. Feed her any excess prisoners you might have, we need to keep our lady satisfied.

A few days after the date ends, upon entering the streets of Drezen you'll be met by a group of civilians who found a murdered body. This scene is just for fun. And to make you feel bad about yourself or something.

And with that, we've reached the end of chapter 3. We're off to a good start with Camellia, even if it's a bit clinical at the moment. We have managed to pique her interest at least, that will have to do for now.

Chapter 4
Welcome to the abyss. Our first stop is the slave markets in the middle city. We must talk to Dyunk, the nalfeshnee pleasure-slave trader. Make sure you have Camellia with you.

Ask him to show you what he has for sale.

Camellia will have some emotional reactions to what she hears. It's important to be supportive of her emotions here. Choose option #1.

Afterwards head to the Ten Thousand Delights, the brothel in the middle city. I accepted the quest from Chivarro, accepted the quest from Morevet Honeyed Tongue, and found the diary of the Spinner of Nightmares. Doing so unlocked a new quest in the journal called "A Conversation with Camellia". The exact trigger for unlocking her companion quest is unknown, but talking to Chivarro seems crucial.

Use the teleporter to head back to the Nexus. Upon entering, you'll automatically begin a conversation with Camellia. Choose option #1, then #2.

Eventually she'll ask you to go to the brothel with her. The perfect girlfriend doesn't exi-

Make sure you chose option #2. In the next dialogue, choose #3 and tell her you'll take her to the brothel.

This finishes the quest, and starts a new one, "What Is Your Heart's Desire?"

What Is Your Heart's Desire?
Before we can progress, we will have to finish Chivarro's quest. She won't allow us access to the brothel until we complete it. Once the quest is finished, and Chivarro dealt with, we can proceed. If you ask Herrax for company, Camellia will get a little jealous. Seems she might be having second thoughts about the whole open relationship thing. Well too bad, she gets what she asks for.

After sampling the menu, ask Herrax about her more exclusive offers.

It seems Camellia has been using the brothel on her own initiative, but can't get off unless the commander is watching. Be a gentleman and offer to pay.

Behind the locked door, you'll find a group of demons involved in a violent orgy with an homonculus who is enchanted to look like you. Humorous, but not why we're here. Continue down the hallway. At the entrance, Camellia will have a fit of nerves. Choose #2 and head inside.

After the reveal of Camellia's secret desire, it's possible to have a perception check. When you're ready to move on, choose option #5.

Like Camellia says, it would be a shame to waste that money you spent. Encourage her.

After it's over, head back to the Nexus for a follow-up conversation.

Exhaust the dialogue and complete the quest. Congratulations, you've finished Camellia's companion quest for Act 4. Camellia seems satisfied for the moment, but the relationship feels like it's in a bit of a rut. We'll have to see what we can do to get it moving.

Character Development
There is an Aasimar named Latverk in middle city, who asks you to rescue some slaves for him. After deciding the fate of the slaves, return to find yourself ambushed. The thugs reveal they were sent by a Red Mask. Go find her in the Bad Luck Tavern, where she will reveal that Latverk is a depraved murderer. This has an interesting effect on Camellia. Choose option #1.

It seems Camellia's penchant for etiquette and decorum extends to all facets of her life. Being caught is a death sentence, and the peace of society must be upheld. Tell her accordingly.

I found this revelation from Camellia quite surprising. I must admit I didn't fully understand it for quite some time, is it a form of self-punishment? A reminder to herself of what happens if you get caught? The answer is a bit more paradoxical. Maybe we'll put more pieces together later. Do as she asks and punish Latverk for being caught.

Camp Rendezvous
Resting in the Nexus will result in a conversation with Camellia. You even get the romance music so you know it's going to be good. I choose option #2.

Next, choose option #2 again.

Ask her why she's angry, then make sure you choose option #3.

Oh it's great fun teasing Camellia. Despite all her depravity, she flirts in a delightfully innocent manner. She's a walking mess of contradictions, but at least she's adorable.

Camellia's Gift
After the previous meeting, you'll find a strange bone amulet in your notable items tab. Seems eerily similar to the amulet that Camellia wears, and it has strong protective magics on it. Let's talk to Camellia and see if she has anything to say about it. After she plays coy go through the dialogue options, before suggesting she was responsible.

Choose option #1.

Option #1 again.

Teasing Camellia never gets old. Seems she is worried about us getting hurt. Or maybe it's enchanted with something a bit more sinister, who really knows with this girl. I was a bit disappointed it wasn't an actual amulet we could wear, but it's a sweet gift nonetheless. More importantly, it seems we're starting to have an affect on the girl.

Leaving Alushinyrra
After finishing your tasks in Chapter 4, Nocticula will summon a portal to take you to her airship. Clicking on the portal with Camellia in the party will start the following dialogue. Choose option #1.

Choose option #1 again.

Ah yes, a classic case of playing hard to get. Although with this particular woman, failing to read her mind might result in her murdering you. Choose option #2.

Right so that one was pretty obvious, I guess she's warming us up. This next one is a bit trickier. When I first played through her romance at game launch, I had to reload this conversation over a dozen times to get the whole thing right. Choose option #4.

Now we get presented with some very reasonable deductions, however we have to remember a few key details to solve this one. We know Camellia is reliant on society as a shield and we know she fears losing this shield. We know Camellia is reliant on society to fuel her addiction to the thrill of secrecy and taboo, and she sure does love shocking people. Choose options #1 and #3.

Oh yeah, she's biting on that hook real hard now boys. All we have to do is reel her in. Choose option #1.

And that's that. We'll pick up in Chapter 5.

Chapter 5
A few days after returning to Golarion, Camellia will meet you in your room. Choose #1.

Seems Camellia wants to try being normal. You can choose option #1 if you want, but ultimately choose #2.

For the date, exhaust all the dialogue. Just don't tell her you're leaving. Eventually you'll end up with the following two options. They will both end up in sex either way, however I choose #1 here.

After that devastating blow to your ego, you're faced with these options. Start from #1 and work your way down, or go with #4 straight away to continue.

After telling her to listen, choose option #1. Options #2 or #3 will end the relationship. Continue choosing option #1 until Camellia runs out of the room.

Wow, that might be the worst date I've ever seen. I'm not sure exactly what to make of it. It's clear that Camellia doesn't want to feel anything for you, perhaps it's all an elaborate attempt to sabotage her own feelings. Or perhaps it's simply a reaction of frustration to her inability to have a normal life. The little brat was practically begging for you to get angry with her, so maybe it's just more thrill seeking. After she runs away, she will refuse to talk to you out in town.

And that's it for now. I suppose we'll be sleeping on the couch for awhile.

Reconciliation
After 2 days or so, Camellia will meet with you in your chambers again. This time with romance music. Choose option #2 first if you like, then option #1.

That romance music helps any apology feel genuine. Although it's doubtful that Camellia could ever truly feel remorse for anything, she's at least making an obvious effort. Choose option #1. You can choose #2 or #3 first if you want, but if you choose them both then the romance will end.

Well it seems she was getting off to quarreling with us after all, I suppose a stable relationship was a bit too much to hope for really. Relationship drama is it's own unique thrill after all. Regardless, in a weird way the normal date actually did kind of work out. Choose #1 and #2, then #4.

I find this whole conversation very tragic. It really does feel like she's regretting her inability to feel normal, but she's utterly incapable of understanding why. It's like watching a patient with dementia trying to remember their spouse. What's even worse is that Camellia is so far gone that attempting to accept her for who she is will fail the romance. After all, her own father accepted her for who she is, and we've seen what she wants to do to him. The only thing that can keep her attention is keeping her on her toes, and keeping her guessing. Choose option #1.

Well we are anything but dishonest, this really hasn't been easy. Choose option #1.

Talking to her in Drezen after this scene has a new dialogue option. She is becoming more manic as time goes on, but at least she's becoming more adorable too.

We've successfully navigated another disaster in the minefield that is our relationship with Camellia. There are some lessons to learn from this tumultuous romance, I think. Or at least it's an opportunity to appreciate our more mundane and boring ones in real life. For now we'll have to wait and hope that things will improve for Camellia.

The Final Drop
Immediately after leaving Iz, I had this event card in my crusade tab. Head back to Drezen and see want she wants.

Choose #1 and #2 if you like, but make sure you choose #3.

Head back to Kenabres, then to Gwerm's Mansion. You must have Camellia with you. Inside you'll be greeted by a servant. Exhaust the dialogue as you see fit but make sure to choose option #5.

You'll now be alone with Camellia. There are a few points of interest to explore here. First is her old mentor's room, which you can find here. Click on the magnifying glass, and she will tell you about her old mentor. Exhaust dialogue as you see fit.

Next we will head down to the basement, it should be labeled on your map. Click on the magnifying glass to have another conversation. You can pass a perception check here to notice her lies, and if you're a lich you can use your power to sense the exact number of skeletons in the cellar. However, my lich playthrough was months ago so I don't have a screenshot available. If I remember correctly, it's actually 6 skeletons.

Head back upstairs, and a short distance to the gardens outside. This should be marked on your map. There are two magnifying glasses here. The first one is a grove of camellia flowers, you can pass a perception check here. The second one is her puppy's grave. At least the puppy got a grave, if none of her human victims ever will.

Now we head upstairs, and into the nearest door. She will show you around her room. Definitely pick up the amulet behind the secret wardrobe door, it's pretty good. Make sure you choose option #2 here.

Upon entering the study, Camellia will ask you what you think of Horgus. From what I can tell, your response doesn't matter. Option #1,2,3 have the same result, #4 will insult her, #5 she smiles because you refuse to give a direct answer. Choose whatever you like. In the conversation with Horgus, go down the list of dialogue and you'll eventually demand an explanation from Camellia.

It's time, our apotheosis is here. I am become Daddy, destroyer of worlds. Do it.

Ask what you wish, then choose option #4.

She wants you to be her first, it's very touching. How could you refuse?

After the bonding session with Cam, she'll tell you how much you mean to her. Choose option #1 or #2.

Camellia tells you Mireya never existed. Exhaust the dialogue as you see fit.

What's our verdict? Oh we made that a long time ago. Choose option #1.

That's that, we are now Cam's new daddy for real this time. I was joking when I chose that name, but it actually fits quite well. She says it herself. She's only looking for someone to protect her from society, and she doesn't need Horgus for that anymore now that she has a Commander of the Crusades. Before you leave the mansion, go upstairs and loot Horgus. He has a document that might be useful, as well as a new rapier for Camellia.

And that's the last companion quest for Camellia. We still have a few more things to do though. Let's head back to Drezen.

Revelation
Back in Drezen, talk to Camellia. She has new dialogue options. Explore them at your leisure, but make sure to give her the will.

Well done, now that Camellia has the wealth and title of her father she'll be a regular Elizabeth Bathory. I hope you're proud of yourself reader, I certainly am. Rest a day or two, and you should receive a visit in your quarters. Choose anything other than option #4.

After a brief game of hide and seek, kiss Camellia and she'll stab you. The options you choose in the temple don't matter, choose what you like. Eventually you'll end up back in your quarters. Ask for an explanation, and choose #1.

Choose #2 and #3 if you wish, then choose #4 to move on.

This results in another of Camellia's guessing games. Choose option #1 repeatedly to work out her scheme. Go down the remaining list of dialogue, and then choose #4.

Choose option #1 a couple times until it goes away, then tell her you'll help her.

Talking to her outside in Drezen has a couple of new dialogue options, and you can have sex like a normal couple now. You know Camellia, Wenduag's been offering that since act 3, just saying. You've also been upgraded to darling from friend, perks of the job I suppose.

Well, I suppose that's a wrap. We've successfully navigated treacherous waters, and accomplished the impossible. Camellia says she'll try to become normal for us, but little does she know that we don't really care either way. I suppose it's a necessary evil though, if we don't want her to try to kill us later on. All that's left for you to do is complete the game, and enjoy the ending. I did find it humorous how her "big reveal" in the temple was in front of three demons who probably couldn't care less.

Conclusion and Final Thoughts
I think this romance is fantastic, one of my favorites of all time. I can't think of any love interest in gaming as unapologetically depraved as Camellia. I adore the tumultuousness and unpredictability, and I love how you have to really try to understand the character in order to progress. It's an emotional rollercoaster and by the end of it, all I wanted was more ride. It must be exhausting to write Camellia. Long story short, they nailed it.

I'm glad they didn't allow for any sort of redemption arc too. People like Camellia are not redeemable. If Ted Bundy had resisted the urge to kill after he escaped from prison, we may never have caught him. But he couldn't stop himself, he killed 3 more women and was caught because of it. It's in his nature, just like it is in Camellia's. The reality that some evil can't be treated or reformed is a true tragedy. It would be insulting to pretend it could be otherwise.

That said I understand people's desire for a redemption, especially for a character so enjoyable. Personally, I was hoping for a Bonnie and Clyde or Natural Born Killers sort of ending. However, it's important to remember that life sucks and sometimes your love affair with a serial killer doesn't work out the way you hoped it would. C'est la vie.

Thank you for reading my guide, I had a lot of fun making it. I hope you enjoy it before it's vultured by bots and copy pasted on other websites without permission. Most importantly, I hope you have come to appreciate Camellia as a character. She is undoubtedly my favorite, and she explores the rare but real evil of serial killing in a way that few if any romance-able characters have. Happy Halloween!

Before sailing to Colyphyr, when choosing the last first option, Camellia "remains silent. "And all the other previous elections remain and they fail this dialogue without a romantic flag. Are we playing different games?

Oh I noticed a warning she is about to kill someone around chapter 3. During a camp rest scene she will give one warning about someone is going to die tonight. Then the next time you do decrees, you will see the treachery decree.

While I hated that you can't redeem her a bit at first, when I played a good character, I ultimately do appreciate that they didn't ruin her by making her personality turn 180 and she's suddenly "good". It does often feel weird and out of place in games, movies etc, when villains suddenly become good guys, and the characters seem to forget all the heinous things they did before.

Doing so unlocked a new quest in the journal called "A Conversation with Camellia".

I unlocked this with my Angel KC by buying slaves lol.
