I use the No Notification mod as well, one of the best mods in game, these notification icons are so ugly and you cannot even hide it by default...
So you are just townscaping basically, going for the visuals only?
Even in general terms, road and rail building is much more pleasing in TpF 2. Usually you will not require mods to achieve desired results, thanks to how flexible building already is. I agree Move It enables very minute and precise results. But that takes a lot of time.
Vanilla TpF 2 behavior is offers a decent amount of precision without the need for mods AND very quick results - usually it takes me 2x-10x the amount of time required to build a specific network in CS over TpF 2. And there is a recently released Anarchy mod in TpF 2, which bridges the gap if more minute results are required.
The only true advantage of CS road/rail building is the copy and paste function of Mod It.
