you get ALOT of skulls, enough that even though i have unlocked the doppelgangers (elite versions of demons, but still in the demon faction) i can assign 2 skulls to every demon, and 4 skulls to the first 4 ranks of dopplegangers.
undead lags behind deomons a bit, but my recommendation is to place 1 on each Unit (demons or undead) untill you can afford to put 2 on each unit, saving extras for your top teir units.
later, after unlocking warlocks, you get similar items for both warlocks and drowners, you can follow the same strategy.
the cyycle i have going now is
run demons till i have alot of waste, put all gears on lower boiler - blow
run up drowners and build up powder, run gears on magic chest - reset.
this is to farm up the auto-upgrade contract. which makes farming much easier.
also, ou dont need to individually click, you can use max, or set it to 'next' which only buys enough units to get the next level.
- put 1 gear on each drowner that you can make, all the rest into the boiler/obelisk/x you're planning to use for the next 11 days
- boiler B > boiler A
rationale: unlike other idlers, this game rewards you for spamming short runs- very short, like 5 minutes. starting out with lots of waste seems like your top priority, but in reality excessive waste means having to hold your autoclicker down on your topmost drowner unit for a long time and then waiting even longer for them to produce more of the lower unit than you invested. grinding to build an insignificant amount of the highest tier demon/undead you can possibly reach will also bloat your run duration and decimate your prestige per minute. if you grind for twice as long, it has to square the currency you'll be resetting with to be worth it (e.g. take you from 1e100 gems to 1e200).
the large waste deposit is good, but i find that with the large exxceleration of the demon faction, i can very easily generate waste in the junk yard. i use that waste and the 5th crystal to generate enough resources to do the swamp ritual which gives me free mavka. and then make sure to get 2 each of crystals 2,3, and 5 each time i reach 10k energy.
after this i can save up the waste collected for the next teir of the drowners faction. curenty i am trying to save up the magic powder for the chest.
side note, on top of the contract that alows runes to not be reset on restart, also purchace the variations of attaching gears to the Boiler, Dark Oblesk, and presumably the chest.
something like prestige when you have this many ashes, or something like that
