The Friday Night Funkster Boyfriend enters the rap battle to end all rap battles!

Overview

Boyfriend is a "Deception" fighter, using an arsenal of arrows, sick beats, and punches to not only deal damage but set up rad K.O.s

Moveset

Neutral Special - Mad Bars

Boyfriend drops a beat, during this attack Boyfriend charges up a note and depending how long you charge it for, the note becomes stronger as expected. The first tier note is a green Sixteen Note that does damage but no knockback, the second tier note is a red Double Quaver note that deals minor knockback and damage, while the full charge is a cyan blue Minium note that deals the most knockback and damage by far. Overall a simple charged projectile with an instrumental theme.

Forward Special - Mic Toss

Boyfriend takes a swing with his mic, swinging it around like a lasso. Depending on how long you swing, the further the microphone will go, but when fully charged the microphone will go across usually half the stage. Once you cling to an opponent you have the choice to either pull them by flicking the left stick left, or fling yourself towards them by flinging the left stick to the right. Either way its a great tool for setting up combos or finishing opponents off stage.

Up Special - Narrow Arrow

Boyfriend pulls an arrow out of nowhere and it does a thing. While in the air/ground hold up special and select a direction using the left stick (Up, Down, Left, Right). After Up Special is let go or after enough time, Boyfriend gets a small boost upward which he can either use to make it on stage or use the arrow in the direction chosen. If Boyfriend does not use the arrow it will stay on stage for a limited amount of time, which could be used for set ups on opponents as they are able to interact with the arrows. Just note that only one arrow per BF on stage at a time.

In addition, please add more voice clips variants that boyfriend has in FNF game itself and fix the AI so it actually doesn't stand around and actually fights better.

@spamite Please buff boyfriend's moveset, as a long term FNF fan, the character is terribly weak, most of moves are super short ranged so we get outclassed by a lot of fighters. Even Rival's Girlfriend is better than Boyfriend in power and range. Please buff the range of his basic attacks and make the hitboxes connect well. In addition, please update CPU AI, he stands around way too often and comparing to Girlfriend's CPU AI is way better.
All in all:
Make his moves faster and less laggier, buff the damage output and knockback and please for love of god, improve his range hitboxes, they are all too small. It's a good addition to Rivals but the character feels so weak compared to Girlfriend.

I've been a fan of FNF for a long time, boyfriend has been one of my favorite characters in fiction for a while and I gotta say: I love this character. He has a pretty fun moveset with some charming visuals and gimmicks that makes for some of the best stage control plays out there, but MAN he desperately a buff or a slight rework. His damage output (without GF) and hitboxes are pretty underwhelming and laggy to an extent and even with the sweetspot gimmick, he lacks combo potential. As a result, he kinda struggles to catch up in alot of matchups.

I really want him to be one of my mains for workshop sessions with my friends but these downsides really have him outmatched in alot of scenarios and I'm praying there's enough support for him to get this treatment.

There's an exploit where you can keep Girlfriend alive after exploding just by timing a taunt. It's pretty busted, but he still sucks since the rest of his kit is very lack-luster in both range and kill power. Cool concept, but with balance changes and exploit/bug fixes, he could be good.
