Manifest Destiny Improved

Descrizione
In addition to 50% discount, America can purchase owned tiles.
Pioneers promotion for Scouts and Settlers (+1 Sight and Movement).
B17 is replaced with Saloon UB (see screenshots).

I recommend to use this mod with the Era Settlers mod to make late expansion worth it, make the full use of Saloon.

Other v2 additions:
- gold paid for owned land goes to the 'partner'
- can't buy tiles which are next to a city
- can't buy tiles from civs you are at war with.

Issues:
- AI America can't buy owned land
- this mod changes CityView.lua so it may not be compatible with other mods doing so (e.g. Emigration).

Original Idea: Gyra Solune from CFC

millerchristophd, well i dont recall how the things are scripted in this mod, but you may try this:
locate the mod's files in the documents/my games/civ/manifest destiny, uniques are set in one of the XML files, you can open it with notepad or any other text editor. replace UNIT_AMERICAN_B17 with UNIT_AMERICAN_MINUTEMAN

Old thread for an old game, I know, but: Is there a way for the Saloon to replace the Minutemen instead of the B17?

nevermind, i got it! i just deleted all of the files besides the city viewer and then edited the range to < 1 instead of < 2. :)

EUI mod isnt on workshop, its on civfantics website. I don't have a strong understanding of lua code though I tried to do so already. I'll see aabout getting up with the dev of that mod to see if I can figure it out, thanks for responding!

Sade_Skirata, it seems theres no "enhanced ui" in the steam workshop (only some modmods). So i give a general advice. Technically it should not be hard, you have to take my changes i introduced into the cityview.lua to the citiview.lua of that mod and then delete (or rename) the citiview.lua of my mod. My changes are marked with "-- manifest destiny" comments to locate them easier (there are 3 places). Some UI code will have to be modified according to the new structure of that mod's UI logic.

I understand it is a late request, but it possible to make this mod compatible with the enhanced ui mod? I acknowledge that I don't have the right to request anything of you that you arn't willing to do, but even if you did not, would you be able to possibly help get me on the right track?
