Out of the blue you get a friend invite from {ᴄᴇʀᴘ} Domino 夢 and he sure is friendly and even asks for your favorite class even! What a nice guy :)

Now he has been so nice he wants you on the team and even can earn 180$ the prize pool :O
that's insane!



BUT WAIT! Why did he add you? Do you have hundreds of hours of TF2? Maybe all of the skills and tactics you gave gotten while playing the game or maybe he is after your money :O

Oh no, now you are in a chat with a potential scammer! What to do?

look at his steam profile and try to find anything that is out of order like maybe he has disabled comments


or maybe look at his inventory since he has lots of items on Tf2 since he is not just going to use stock weapons on a Tf2 tournament



or the biggest red flags is they don't even play tf2 :)

or the best part by a quick search on the name and lord behold, he got 92 with the same name

I prefer just to confront and be done with it like this:
But bonus points if you waste the scammers time.

But when you got some evidence like links then take screenshots and report the scammer.
remember it needs to be solid evidence

By all means you can ignore them, but the they will just go to another victim.

So that's why I wrote this to spread awareness and at least try to remove some scammers from the TF2 community.

Its highly recommended to report if it is a scammer.

and to the person who may had that steam name hope they don't pretend you anymore :)
