Guide is pretty much useless now since the new update, unless you are playing on older versions still


Before we start: DO NOT USE THE "BH5 FIXES PATCH"BECAUSE IT WILL NOT WORK WITH NUCLEUS

Tutorial:

1. Download and extract NucleusCoop Mod! NucleusCoop is a application that allows to run a lot of different games in Splitscreen. It does this by opening the game multiple times and allowing all controllers/keyboards&mouses to control each instance respectively so you can play together.

2. Open NucleusCoop and click on search, search for Resident Evil 5 and download the game script. NucleusCoop will tell you to select the game .exe of Resident Evil 5. Pictures are at the bottom of the guide and a more detailed tutorial is also linked in the notes section.

3. That's it! Make sure to read the Author's notes (the script notes) to not miss anything because most scripts don't work simply out of the box but the RE5 Script should work fine. You can simply select the Script in your library in NucleusCoop and set all the settings you need to set (Like if you use One Controller and Keyboard&Mouse or 2 Controllers, ...)
It is highly recommended that everyone plays with controllers tho because other ways didn't work, atleast for me.

4. Also if you don't know what to do next, one player needs to host a LAN/Offline Lobby and then the other player can search for LAN lobbies in re5 and you should find each other. have fun!


-If you want the instances to resize correctly and fix stretching you need to create custom resolutions in your AMD/Nvidia/Intel panel (For example for a 1920x1080 monitor add: 960x1080, 960x540, 1920x540 etc.) so the game can see and use them.

-To fix the zoomed in hud/menus and cutscenes crashes in ultra wide and other custom resolutions or to increase the FOV select yes to use Lyall RE5Fix in the Nucleus UI option that shows after you click >.

-You can use this mod to change the FOV if the characters are too out of view in vertical splitscreen

IF YOU GET CRASHES (UNSUPPORTED ERROR FUNCTION), SET REFRESH RATE IN YOUR GAME SETTINGS TO 60HZ OR LOWER FOR BOTH INSTANCES OR IN YOUR NORMAL RE5 BEFORE TRYING AGAIN
You can also set the Graphic Settings to LOW or MEDIUM if you dont have a good PC (to avoid FPS issues)
