Beskrivning
Description: The Broadsword - Royal is a luxury sport ship, designed for style and versatility. It has limited combat ability, but by no means helpless. It was built to be a fun, excessive, two man vessel with various advanced gadgets. It requires periodic hydrogen and energy refueling, it is not self-sufficient, but can last reasonably long between refueling stops.

Specs:

Propulsion is mainly hydrogen based with atmospheric assist jets. The Broadsword - Royal sports a fully-functioning, script-less, automated VTOL system, toggled via timer block in slot two of the cockpit hot bar. During take-off, one should push the nose of the vessel slightly down and build slight forward momentum before attempting to switch off VTOL mode. When toggling the propulsion vectoring configuration, one should be mindful not to suddenly change the attitude of the vessel. This could result in an improper or incomplete propulsion vectoring switch and could further lead to loss of control. Disabling inertia dampeners is strongly recommended after landing, and somewhat recommended during flight in cruise configuration. One should avoid loitering mid-air while using the VTOL thrust configuration, this consumes fuel much faster than cruise mode.

Landing gear is fully concealed when retracted and takes time to cycle. When the landing gear is ready to begin deploying or retracting, the "Gear: Ready" panel in the cockpit will illuminate. The landing gear will automatically unlock its mag-locks when retracted. However, when the landing gear is deployed, it will not automatically lock, unless the Broadsword has landed on a flat, man-made, platform. Else and it must be locked via the gear lock group in the hot bar. It is strongly recommended to allow generous ground clearance (~25 meter altitude readout in cockpit should be a safe minimum) when attempting to deploy landing gear.

The boarding ramp is stowed on the port side of the vessel, and features an auto deploy sensor. The auto deploy sensor will extend the boarding ramp if an individual is present outside the vessel near the boarding ramp region. The ramp can also be manually deployed via the cockpit hot bar, or via button press in the interior where the ramp is stowed. The boarding ramp will automatically close shortly after it finishes deploying (~15 seconds after).

The Broadsword - Royal now also sports the Auto Vertical Take Off Protocol (A.V.T.O.P.) When A.V.T.O.P. is enabled (enabled by default), the vessel is capable of autonomous vertical take off and mode switch to cruise mode. To properly use A.V.T.O.P, the vessel should be landed and locked, ideally with an attitude perpendicular to planet gravity, and with the thruster configuration ready for vertical take off. Caution: once A.V.T.O.P. completes, all control is handed to the pilot, the vessel WILL NOT automatically maintain altitude after A.V.T.O.P. completes. Caution: While enabled, A.V.T.O.P. will automatically engage anytime the landing gear is retracted, whether or not the vessel is in VTOL configuration nor does it verify the vessel has landed before starting. Note: A.V.T.O.P. activates when enabled and gear is retracted, there is no need to find the timer block for A.V.T.O.P. nor the retract gear timer block, simply use the toggle gear option in the cockpit and it will function.

Known Issues: The UAV fabricator is still a WIP. Sometimes the ramp, the UAV door, and rarely, but not never, the landing gear -can clang. I know this, having a billion moving parts comes at a cost, I don't think anything breaks itself when it clangs though. If it does break itself though let me know.

I have fixed the door sensor issue and made the VTOL switch more reliable. For a successful switch, one should keep their total speed at or under 20~30 m/s, I will see if I can make them more robust soon.
I DO have a safety lock on triggering deploy or retract commands twice in a row, probably don't spam any of the commands though, don't know if that actually breaks it or not.

Blocks from DLCs:
Heavy Industry: All hydrogen thrusters and beams holding atmospheric thrusters
Sci-Fi: Paint material and Atmospheric thrusters
Wasteland: All spotlights used plus a few regular lights

I recommend a speed limit extender for this, I think it will still work w/out but it is certainly fun to fly past 100 m/s. I use "Speed of Light Mod," but any limit extender should work fine.
You will need the aero wing mod I linked in pre-reqs for any real plane action.
