Introduction and Total Cost
  • How much does it cost to fully upgrade a brand-new car in Wreckfest with all the best racing parts? Not counting the armor and engine swaps, you will need to purchase 10 individual part upgrades.
  • A-class engine swaps can cost around 10950 with bumpers costing 560 and Roof Bars costing 1000 but we won't be covering those

The total CR spent on Performance Upgrades
  • 13600 CR

Note: This guide is intended for players who have all the part upgrades already unlocked through player level progression. I’m unsure what individual levels each upgrade unlocks at for individual vehicles, the Wreckfest Wiki might provide more details on that. Upgrades seem to cost the same on each vehicle

Cost Breakdown, the Upgrades
Here's how much each part costs, with images:

Racing Air Filter:
  • 1000 CR

A very small performance boost, raises the cars power to weight ratio rating usually by 1 to 4 points.
You can try out cheaper versions or removing this upgrade all together when trying to get your vehicle to fit perfectly at the top of C or B class ranks.

Racing Radiator:
  • 400 CR

Even smaller performance boost then the Air filter, this will increase your vehicles Horse Power, Torque and overall rating, but might not actually visibly increase any of the frontend stats?

Racing Intake Manifold:
  • 1000 CR

Racing Carb:
  • 3000 CR
The fuel system, one of the most expensive upgrades. It gives you a big performance boost!

Racing Ignition:
  • 1000 CR

Racing Exhaust:
  • 1000 CR

Racing Exhaust Manifold:
  • 1000 CR

Racing Valves:
  • 2200 CR

Another one of the more costly ones!

Racing Camshaft:
  • 2000 CR

Last of the pricey ones!

Racing Pistons:
  • 1000 CR

This one sort of sneaks in at the end by being only a middle priced upgrade.

Closing thoughts
  • I'm not actually sure how much of an impact each individual upgrade has on the vehicle or if its just a straightforward stat boost. Mainly just wanted to show how much CR you should save up before you go to buy a new vehicle.
