How To Set Up an Arcade Stick for Guilty Gear - Isuka
By ZimZader
A quick guide to help you set up the right control configuration for an arcade stick in Guilty Gear - Isuka. This guide assumes you are using Windows 7 but it shouldn't be too different between the various versions of Windows.

1. Bringing up the Joystick Buttons
1. Go to "Control Panel"
2. Click on "View devices and printers"
3. Right click on "Xbox 360 Controller for Windows"
4. Click on "Game controller settings"
5. Select the approprite controller
6. Click on "Properties." This should automatically bring you to the "Test" tab of the highlighted controller. This "controller properties" page is your final destination.

Here are some screenshots if you get lost:
2. Mapping the Correct Buttons
Now on to the actual mapping of the buttons. You will need to bring up the "Guilty Gear Isuka Configuration Settings." This is done by hitting "Play" for the game in Steam and the choosing "Configure Settings" Click the "Joystick Settings" tab up top and you can finally begin.

Whenever you have the controller properties window highlighted and then push a button on your joystick, it will highlight the corresponding button.

For example, in the picture below I am pushing Up, Tringle (Y), and L2 (LT) simultaneously. As a result, an up arrow is appearing on the PoV Hat, Button 4 is highlighted and the Z Axis is at max, respectively. Figuring out which button number/Z axis is assigned to what will help you configure the keys.

As a special bonus, the settings window on the right has the correct buttons mapped for a standard Qanba/Mad Catz arcade stick. Copying that over directly may work just fine.

Please note that the "ZAxis" box is checked. You will need to have that checked if you want to use the buttons that are assigned to ZMax and Zmin.
3. Checking the Buttons
To make sure that your buttons have been mapped correctly, launch the game and go to Options-->Controller Settings-->Arcade Controller Settings.

From here, you can just push the buttons on your joystick and see what pops up and then compare that with what they should be.

Alternatively, you can work your way down the list and push the cooresponding buttons to see if the mapped button gets changed or not.
4. Conclusion
That wraps up the guide on how to set up an Arcade Stick for Guilty Gear - Isuka. There are a couple of older games that need to be setup in this fashion so don't forget the steps that you learned here today!

If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions for me (seeing as how this is my first guide) then just leave a comment and I will do my best to respond.

(This is how it should be set up, I think.)

To the left of the Xbox Home button there should be a switch marked "LS DP RS" which stands for left stick, d-pad, and right stick respectively. If it is all the way to the left then the arcade stick is set to act as the left analog stick. If it is in the middle then the arcade stick is set to act as the d-pad. All the way to the right... you get the idea.

Just slide the switch to the appropriate position.

Whoa, windows 8? That is a new beast for me. Unfortunately I don't have access to Windows 8 so I'm not sure but... I think if you search for "USB" in the Windows 8 start menu and go to the "Settings" section and then go to "Set up USB game controller" you should be able to get to the controller properties.

Other than that I don't know why POV_UP wouldn't work for up... The only thing I can think of is if your stick is toggled to something else then "LS." Maybe it is set to the D-Pad? Or vice versa.

I don't think I can offer you much more help outside of that. :sfsad:

Ahhhh. And you checked with the controller properties to see what buttons register as Up/Down, etc? If so, what joystick are you using? Is it stock or modded?
