Sadly not everyone alive today played Quake in 1996. That is unfortunate but this guide will assist new players to become Quake pros just like us old timers. I first played Quake in 1996 so unlike your imaginary friend that smokes meth every day, I know what I am talking about.

Tips to becoming a Quake pro.

1. You can get your health restored to maximum if you let a Shambler give you a hug.

2. Use the Thunderbolt underwater.

3. Rocket jumping works best with low health, Quad Damage and no armour.

4. Red armour is fireproof letting you walk on lava.

5. In the military base levels, you will sometimes find radioactive containers. Open them with your axe for a random power up.

6. Vores can be a real pain, you can hit their firepods back at them with the axe, but the timing is difficult.

Buddy of mine had Quake and both Mission packs for the game. We'd always go to his place and take turns playing for hrs.

1. if SHAMBLER gives you a "hug" you GIB ("(your name) Gave shambler a hug")

2. If you use THUNDERBOLT under water you also gib ("(your name) discharged underwater")

3 ROCKET jumping is fun but you lose a LOT of HP ("(your name) blew up")

4.acid you can swim in IF you have a bio-suit;LAVA on the other hand ...burns red armor or not my friend ("(your name) tried to swim in lava")

5.RADIOACTIVE CONTAINERS blow up killing you instantly ("(your name) blew up")

6.FIRE PODS blow up if you shoot them enough ("(your name) blew up")
