Introduction
Hello and welcome to my guide to the « Lava God » achievement. In order to get this achievement (which 0.08% players have at the time of writing) you’ll need to complete the “Volcanic Ash” scenario and get 3 biohazards with every single pathogen. Which is, obviously, much harder than simply picking your favorite disease and then winning. I will first start by covering the “standard” diseases and then go on with the two special pathogens.

Note : as of December 2014, getting the 3 biohazards in Casual does not give the achievement anymore, you'll have to beat the scenario in Normal or higher. Which is fine for most diseases, except Necroa Virus which was already a nightmare in Casual.
General strategy
A lot of things are common between these diseases, and there will be quite a bit of overlapping between our seven pathogens.
Genes : unless I say otherwise, we will always use the following genes : ATP Boost, Base Oxidisation, Teracyte, Extremophile, Patho-Stasis.
I will often mention “usual symptoms”, because there are three symptoms that I like a lot and that you’ll come to like as much as me : Rash, Sweating, and Skin Lesions. If I mention “the three symptoms” or something like that, I’m talking about those three. Those symptoms are good for two reasons : first, it’s the best early-game increase in infectivity for pretty cheap, and it unlocks Necrosis, which is the best symptom of the whole game when you’re trying to win *fast*, which is our goal here. The “stay invisible and then unleash everything” strategy does not work at all for scenarios where speed is of paramount importance. Well, it works if your goal is just to complete it, but not if you actually want a decent score. As an added bonus, those three symptoms are a fast and cheap way to increase severity, which means more DNA points from red bubbles when infecting a new country. (This also means that we'll be discovered as soon as our starting country is infected, but this is not an issue)

Our general strategy, without taking into account each pathogen’s specificity, is thus the following one :
-Start in India (China and Saudi Arabia are usually better choices, but we need access to a strong seaport from the start for this scenario)
-Immediately evolve Livestock 1
-Then take the three aforementioned symptoms
-Get Water 1, then Birds 1
-Get Birds 2 and Water 2
-Get Drug Resistance 1, Genetic Hardening 1, Frost 1&2
-Get any first tier transmission that didn’t mutate (Air 1, Insect 1, Blood 1, Rodents 1)
-Get any first and second tier symptom that didn’t mutate

At this point you’ll usually need to wait a bit until every country is infected. The only thing that matters here is that no country is completely healthy, the actual number of infected people in a given country does not really matter. As soon as the last country pops a red bubble, you immediately evolve Necrosis (and of course you kept enough points for it). It will start killing lots of people (thus slowing down the cure research) and re-infect the survivors with the corpses. At this point you should also get some of the mildly lethal symptom that also happens to increase infectivity. Diarrhoea, Pulmonary Oedema, Pulmonary Fibrosis and Fever are the four main symptoms of this category. Don't overspend your DNA points though.

Once every country has a decent number of infected (at least 1% or 125 000, whichever is higher, Greenland is an exception and is good to go at even 500-1000) you start ramping up the killing potential. If you’re rich (or Immune Suppression mutated on its own), Total Organ Failure is obviously the best choice. However, Hemorrhagic Shock is an extremely strong option and it costs much less than Immune Suppression + TOF. Once you have both of those, Dysentery is the third best symptom and should be your next goal. Afterwards, get Internal Hemorrhaging, Systemic Infection and Tumors if you’re rich enough for it. Don’t forget to take at least one or two points of Genetic Reshuffle in order to bring back the cure research to a smaller number and increase your score.
Sometimes, a rich country (Canada or, more rarely, New Zealand) will start resisting and people will die faster than they get infected. When this happens, getting Drug Resistance 2 is usually enough to increase the infectivity and get to everyone in time, unless you were already at very low numbers of infected (less than 75k for Canada).

Speaking of score, you need 65 000 in order to get the 3 biohazards. Remember that for scenarios, score is primarily linked to the time you took to finish and NOT the final cure research results, even if it does matter obviously. This is why we’re playing aggressively with severe symptoms right from the beginning. If you somehow can’t seem to get above 60 000 for a given pathogen, try lowering the difficulty as it makes it easier to get a better score since people will get infected faster and cure research will be slower. Obviously you should aim to finish everything at the best level possible, but as far as the achievement is concerned, whether you get your biohazards on Mega-Brutal or Casual has no impact whatsoever.

As a last point, let’s talk about closed islands. Because our disease will be quite severe, it can happen that an island closes its only port before getting infected. This situation sucks, but it does not spell doom for us either. When this happens, you should try to get either the Extreme Zoonosis or the Extreme Hematophagy transmissions (whichever costs less from the transmissions that you already have), or possibly both if you have a lot of DNA. These transmissions give a slight chance to get either a non-human infection (Zoonosis) or an infected blood package (Hematophagy), both of which will allow the disease to enter the country. Because your pathogen is extremely developed at this point, it should not be hard to infect the whole island and then finish, the only issue being that this will easily cost you a month of time and may bring you under the 65k mark.

Now let’s tackle each pathogen separately and see what we can do with it.
Bacteria
Difficulty : 2/5 (Brutal)
Genes : Swap Patho-Stasis for Sympto-Stasis as we don’t use many abilities for the Bacteria

I don’t particularly like this pathogen, but it works alright here. The thing is, I’ve rarely seen its special ability do anything meaningful, so in fact I usually don’t put any point in it because it’s close to worthless. You could take the first and maybe the second level if you really wanted to, but Frost and Heat resistances are much stronger as far as climate resistance is concerned. Only take the Bacteria’s abilities if you’ve already evolved the two Frost resistances and are still struggling with cold countries. (and even then, if it’s only Canada, Drug Resistance 2 will be better)

Not much to say about this one, it should work with the above guide without any problem.
Virus
Difficulty : 1.5/5 (Brutal)
Genes : You could consider swapping Patho-Stasis for Sympto-Stasis here, both should be viable. I’m still using Patho-Stasis personally.

One of my favorite pathogens, it works very nicely with our aggressive strategy. There is one main change from the guide : after evolving Livestock 1, you will put a point in Viral Instability 1 (before the three symptoms), and a second one after Birds 1. The third one is usually not needed, though if you wanted to evolve it, you should do so around the lategame, after every country has been infected. The idea here is to use the strong mutation chances to increase our chance to mutate an expensive transmission (such as Birds 2 or Water 2) or a strong symptom. Do not ever devolve a symptom unless it’s a very lethal one, as getting those too early will cause the countries to close their borders faster than usual.

As a Virus, you’ll be sitting on huge quantities of DNA without knowing what to do with it, and it’s normal. In the first phase (“infection”) of the game, you should keep those points in case you suddenly need one of the two “Extreme” transmissions mentioned in the first section. You can also afford to get Drug Resistance 2, Genetic Hardening 2 and anything really. There’s a reason this is my (second) favorite pathogen, almost everything will look painfully slow and DNA-starved compared to a Virus.
Fungus
Difficulty : 4/5 (Normal)

One of the shi*tiest pathogens in my opinion, especially when you want to do things fast. The Fungus is notoriously bad at spreading around the world, and the lack of airplanes is certainly not going to help it, which is why I decided to play it on Normal (got only two stars on Brutal, so yes it’s possible to win but getting 65k is another thing)

However, it does have a relatively neat ability in the form of spores. Here is what we will do : after we’ve developed Birds 1 and Water 1, we will use all 6 spore bursts from the first group, as well as the spore eruption. (so, 7 abilities in total in a very short amount of time). Doing this has two benefits : first, it will spread the plague around the world, and because we have a decent infectivity thanks to our symptoms, it should infect those countries relatively fast. On top of that, each red bubble will give us 2-3 DNA points, while the ability only costs one point. This means that we basically get free DNA in addition to infecting new countries (even better for the eruption, as it should infect three countries at least). This DNA can then be used to get some more, much-needed transmissions.

Afterwards, it goes same as usual. Do NOT touch the second spore abilities until there are only 8 healthy countries left. The reason is that we have 6 “free” infections, as well as an eruption that can prove to be quite unreliable. It has happened to me that if there were 3 countries left, the eruption only infected two of them. It is even better if you somehow managed to bring this number even lower, as it means you won’t need to use the eruption at all. In my last game, I think I used three or four spores from the second group, and it was enough to be present everywhere.

Once you’ve managed to reach every country, it’s not harder than any other pathogen, and the killing part poses no particular problem. The reason this pathogen is difficult and has to be played on Normal is that it’s excruciatingly slow, and thus usually gets a pretty low score. It’s certainly possible to get the three biohazards on Brutal, but I don’t have the patience to replay such a boring pathogen fifteen times in a row.
Parasite
Difficulty : 5/5 (Normal)
Genes : you could try swapping the ATP Boost for Cytochrome Surge or Catalytic Switch, which would yield more DNA in the long run. However, I’ve found that doing this makes the disease way too slow. The best solution is thus to remain DNA-starved and try to win with it.

Thought the Fungus was slow ? This one is even worse. The problem is that the Parasite’s “advantage” (let’s be honest it’s just a terrible pathogen in every case) is to remain invisible easily while still evolving a few symptoms. However we don’t give a damn about staying invisible because we’re aiming for speed here. This means that we don’t have any ability, as reducing severity means that we can’t get as much DNA from red bubbles. Playing the Parasite is basically playing the Bacteria with the added disadvantage that you’re going to be DNA-starved the whole game.

With that being said, the main thing you want to do here is to watch closely your DNA points and not spend them on anything you’re not totally sure you need it. If you do things right, you should still be able to unlock Necrosis when every country is infected (give up on the mildly lethal symptoms for this one). However, you may be too poor to afford one of the three big symptoms, in which case Internal Hemorrhagic is your best bet. Thankfully you will get DNA points for kills which should allow you to get back to all the strong symptoms and finish correctly once you’re set. The hard part is just getting to that point fast enough. In my last test while writing this guide, I got 65 200 points exactly… barely two hundreds above the threshold.
Prion
Difficulty : 2/5 (Brutal)

This is a decent pathogen, especially when compared to the two previous ones. However, its abilities are targeted towards slowing cure research… so we don’t really care about those. You should still get them (around mid-game), as they can significantly slow down the cure research and cost less than Genetic Hardening 2.

Apart from that there’s nothing to say, it basically plays like the Bacteria and shouldn’t be any easier or harder to beat.
Nano-Virus
Difficulty : 5/5 (Normal)
Genes : Swap Sympto-Stasis for Patho-Stasis, we need quite a few abilities and we need them early in the game.

I usually like the Nano-Virus, but here with the slower transmissions it becomes difficult to get a good score with it. With that being said, I actually managed to get the three biohazards on Brutal once, although it was by saving at one point and then trying different things from that one point, which the game didn’t register. I would still heavily recommend doing it on Normal.

Before even getting Livestock, you’ll have to take the two Interception (Code Fragment/Segment) abilities in order to slow down the cure research. This obviously slows you down as you now need to wait around one in-game month in order to get Livestock 1, which you’re used to getting immediately.

Afterwards, play normally for a bit. The cure will reach dangerous levels when you get to Birds 1 (or perhaps 2 with some luck), so get the first Radical Elements ability and send it back to around 45-50%. You also want to get both Genetic Hardening 1 and 2 quite early in the game (after Water 2 I'd say) as their cost is significantly reduced for the Nano-Virus (3 and 6 DNA points respectively)

The Nano-Virus has one excellent ability in the form of the Replicatory Factory Overload. This heavily increases infectivity for a very short time (less than an in-game month), at the cost of slightly lowered infectivity after utilization. You want to use this when every country is infected and with at least a few hundreds people. You want to evolve Necrosis exactly at the same time as well. After the overload is over, you should be at the very least at 25% of infection everywhere, and then it’s won.

Speaking of overloads, there’s a second one. Once you have enough lethal symptoms, get the Encryption Breached ability if you didn’t get it before (in Normal you can win without using it, in Brutal it will have been used a long time ago) and then marvel at the Broadcast Interceptor Overload. This ability heavily pushes back the cure research result (but only temporarily), and completely freezes any research for a very short period of time (the first overload lasts longer). You should use this when there are about 10 000 people left alive in the world, as the game will take the current “temporary” value as the final one and thus increase your score.
Bio-Weapon
Difficulty : 3/5 (Brutal)
Genes : Get Patho-Stasis here again, it's going to be even more needed than previously as we have lots of cheap abilities to evolve

The Bio-Weapon is the most lethal of all the diseases available in the game, so it seems logical that it will work nicely in a game based on speed. However, because of its high lethality, countries can close their borders earlier than they should and thus lock the player. Reaching every country is thus even more important for this pathogen, as it’s easy-win as soon as this is done.

As far as precise things go, you want to take Gene Compression 1 & 2 right after your three symptoms. The Deactivate Modified Genes abilities should be taken whenever people start dying, as it’s a waste to take it before but waiting too long can encourage countries to close every border way too early. The third Gene Compression can wait a bit more until you have evolved all your core transmissions and abilities. The third ability (Nucleic Acid Neutralisation) is completely worthless and should be ignored for most of the game.

Apart from that, it’s pretty standard until you get your foot in every single country. At this point, you want to evolve every ability you didn’t get until now (including the useless one) in order to unlock the glorious Annihilate gene. Evolve it and take Necrosis immediately after. The huge boost in infectivity will offset the insane lethality and you should still be able to infect new people, however if people die too fast don’t hesitate to take more resistances (Drugs 2) or even transmissions (Rodents/Insects according to the situation). Once every country is at least at 35-40% infected, you can go overkill and take the other lethal symptoms in order to kill things even faster. Don’t forget about one or two reshuffles as usual.

Shouldn’t be too hard on Brutal, but don’t hesitate to switch to Normal if you either can’t reach some countries, or if they really die too fast. It helps if you’re familiar with the pathogen and how deadly it is.
Neurax Worm
Difficulty : 1/5 (Mega Brutal)
Genes : Get Trans-Stasis because the Neurax has an extremely high number of transmissions and we need almost all of them. We also get Genetic Mimic instead of Base Oxidisation because we’ll evolve everything ourselves and thus don’t need some random mutations.

My favorite pathogen (and the one I used to get Mega-Brutal in every scenario where you can choose your pathogen), it completely bypasses the supposed difficulty of this situation thanks to the Trojan planes. As such, we can actually afford to start in China, which is a better place than India as it doesn’t acclimate our pathogen to hot temperatures. Note that since Transmissions increase Severity for the Neurax, the red bubbles will end up giving us a ton of DNA points despite not having a single symptom for a good chunk of the game.

-Get Eggs 1 and Rodents 1 at the start. Afterwards, you want to go all the way with the Locomotion transmissions until Air 3, although you should also get Water 1 before moving on to Air 2.
-Get the first point of Trojan planes around three months after the beginning
-Get Eggs 2 as well as Insect 1 and Birds 1
-Finish the transmissions with Water 2 and Eggs 3
-Get Drugs 1, Frost 1&2
-Get Trojans 2 & 3
-Get Neural Breach, Cerebral Tendrils, Adrenergic Constriction, Anxiolytic Infusion, Psychosis, Adoration, Devotion and finally Transcendence

The only potentially difficult part (and only in Mega Brutal) is to wait too long and find yourself having a final symptom costing 80+ DNA points. Around 50-55 is the standard cost that I’ve found, up to 65-70 can usually still be gotten since the Neurax is an extremely rich pathogen. Afterwards you’ve won. Get the two Trojan Roamers abilities and then get whatever suits the situation : Insects 2, Heat Resistance, Rodents 1, Drugs 2, etc.

As far as the Trojan planes are concerned, what I like doing is to send the first one in West Africa and the second on in the USA. Doing this allows us to more easily reach the other continents, and earlier in the game (you could also send one to Brasil, but usually a boat from West Africa will have infected it by this point). Those two countries will then infect others both via land and boat. This is not standard, but remember we don’t have planes here (or just a very small number, because there are actually a few planes). Afterwards, just send to the difficult countries : Greenland, Sweden, Iceland, Morocco, Angola, Caribbean are the main ones, but you can just look at the list of healthy countries and… boom !

Easiest pathogen by far, and the only one I’ve done in Mega-Brutal for this scenario, though I suspect the Virus and perhaps the Bio-Weapon could work as well.
Necroa Virus
Difficulty : 5/5 (Casual) (Note : doesn't work anymore in Casual)
Genes : Get Darwinist instead of Base Oxidisation and Dopamine Inhibitor as fifth gene. Darwinist is mainly taken for the very faint chance that we could mutate an expensive symptom during the second half of the game, during the first half it can actually hinder us. Feel free to use Creationist or anything instead, this gene doesn't have much impact here anyway.

You just had tons of fun with the Neurax ? Good, because the Necroa is the hardest of all the pathogens on this map. Yeah, the Fungus and the Parasite suck, but this one is a nightmare if you want to have a decent score, because doing so implies finishing fast and the best strategies with the Necroa are quite slow (for instance I had to start in France when I wanted to finish it on Mega-Brutal, and starting in a rich country is much slower than elsewhere). However, it’s likely possible to get 3 biohazards in Normal (and perhaps even Brutal) but I heavily advise against doing it unless you’re extremely patient. With that being said, the actual difficulty once in Casual is closer to 2/5, but the fact that it’s the only pathogen where I had to do this tells me it’s by far the hardest one.

-Start in India
-Get Saliva 1 & 2, Water 1 and Gastrointestinal Expansion
-Get Hyper Salivation and Polyphagia
-Get Zoonotic Shift and Birds 1, then Bats 1
-Get Frost 1 & 2 as well as Drugs 1
-Get Gastroenteritis and Cannibalism
-If you’re rich, get Bird 2 but don't bother if you're not sure to have enough DNA

At this point we’ll just wait until the infection rates starts to slow down while sitting on some DNA. It’s important to have quite a stash because we’ll need it. You should wait until every European country is infected, and until the USA have at least 500k infected. The reason for this is that the ZCom is extremely strong when it lands in a rich and populated country. Infecting the entire European continent lets us “force” it to land in Iceland or Greenland (since it pretty much refuses to start in Latin America or Africa, and I’ve rarely seen it in Australia and New Zealand), where it will be easily wiped. Having a strong presence in USA is also important in case ZCom decides to land either here or in Canada.

-Get Cytopathic Reanimation, Anaerobic Resuscitation and Enhanced Motor Control if you can afford it
-Get Hordes Instinct and then the three other Hordes abilities
-Get Peptide Surge, Dermal Calcification and Cranial Elephantitis while always keeping 4 DNA points.
-As soon as ZCom emerges (most likely in Greenland), send a huge Horde or two from the nearest country (USA or UK because it's unlikely that you got many zombies in Iceland)
-Keep evolving fighting symptoms, either continuing from Cranial Elephantitis or getting Acidic Reflux. You can also try to get one of the symptoms combos if you want to.

Once ZCom is destroyed it’s won. You can keep evolving symptoms, you can go back and take Genetic Hardening to unlock the Genetic Reshuffles if you want to get a lower cure and thus more points. Don’t forget to check every island though, and to send a Horde if one is clean, or if there’s a country where your zombies are struggling a bit (usually Canada)
Simian Flu
Difficulty : 5/5 (Normal)
Genes : ATP Boost, ATP Overdose, Teracyte, Extremophile, Leadership
So, as should be obvious by now I like having bonus DNA at start. While the ATP Boost gives us 8 DNA points without any downside, the overdose gives us a massive +15 (fully stacking with the Boost, so we start with 23 + 1 for the starting country infection) at the cost of a huge increase to devolving costs. Not that we care since we're not going to devolve anything (if such a situation was to arise, it would be a huge streak of bad luck such as mutating only the neural branch and ending up with Total Brain Failure after only a few in-game months and restarting the game would be a better solution). It's also important to start loaded with DNA because remember that we need to finish fast if we want our three biohazards.
Leadership is very important because we'll make extensive use of the abilities throughout the game.

Before I start, I should explain the concept of this pathogen (the more I think about it, the more I realize this is basically a guide to every pathogen but with a handicap), because there are two ways to play it. You can either play it as a "normal" disease and only use the apes as a late-game support (mainly against the cure), or you can play with them from the beginning. That's the option we'll use here, but the other version can certainly work, as demonstrated by TheIncredibleHibby in the comments.

Also, while I did finish it in Normal with ~68k points (and it was by no means a perfect run, so a 70k score seems possible), I would recommend you stick to Casual if you lack patience, because on Normal I cannot guarantee that it will work all the time. Also I’m sorry but this one is going to be another huge wall of text, because there’s a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of specific information… in fact you can forget pretty much everything I said in the rest of the guide.

With that being said, we'll start in Central Africa, because not only is it the biggest reservoir of apes (more than half the total), it shares borders with three of the other big reservoirs (West Africa, Sudan and East Africa). As soon as you start your game, evolve the Neuro-Genesis and then the two cheap ape-to-ape transmissions (Inter-genus dissemination 1&2).

Our goal for the first part of the game is to setup our colonies, aka DNA factories, as well as send “scout apes” on the other continents. To do this, take the Ape Colonies ability as soon as possible, and then plant one in Central Africa. Afterwards, evolve the Organized Travel ability and send that colony to West Africa. Wut ? Remember the golden rule : we need to be as fast as we can, and this means we can’t afford to wait until the apes spread “naturally” to the other countries. After you’ve done this, plant a new colony in Central Africa, and send it to East Africa, then do the same with Sudan. Please note that if you got lucky and managed to spread “naturally” to one of the three countries, you can create a new colony immediately without using the travel trick. After you’ve infected the three countries, you can create your “actual” Central African colony.
In addition, the act of sending a colony to Sudan will usually infect Saudi Arabia in the process (if not, you should at least have Libya or Egypt). This is perfect because we’ll use this one to infect the eastern part of the world. First you should have enough DNA to evolve the Logistics and Seafaring abilities, in order to speed our travels a bit. Send a travel team from Saudi Arabia to Indonesia, and then another one to China, and then plant a colony in both these countries. During their travel, they should also infect either India or a neighboring country like Pakistan, which means you can plant a colony directly in India or travel from one of the nearest countries to set it up.
You should spend a bit less than six months to have your seven colonies, in my example it took from 17th August to the beginning of February.
In parallel and as soon as you have the funds for it, use Morocco, Algeria and Libya to infect Brazil, the USA and France respectively. Doing this allows us to let the apes spread in the entire continents undetected, which will prove useful later.

At this point, evolve Drug Resistance 1 and Frost Resistance 1. Wait a bit (but not too much, maximum two months after the previous milestone, which means early April in my example) and then evolve the Hominidae Bridge transmission… and laugh. Because there’s going to be a LOT of red bubbles popping at the same time, everywhere. Afterwards we enter the Transmission part of the plan : evolve Birds 1&2, Air 1, Water 1, then alternate Fomites & Bats until you have all of them. Afterwards you want to evolve the entire gastric line of symptoms (Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Dysentery) as well as the abilities Frost Resistance 2 and Drug Resistance 2.
In parallel, as soon as your Indonesian colony has reached near its maximum size (~65k), send it to New Zealand. That’s because NZ is the most annoying country (they're even more resistant than Canada), and if you infect it last you run the risk of either killing its inhabitants too fast and losing, either wasting too much time and not getting your three biohazards.

Then begins the last phase of the game : finish the infection and kill off the humans. This is the hardest part because you’ll have to do several things simultaneously, and balance them. I suggest you switch to the Human display if you used the Ape one for the first part of the game.
First, the infection. Your colonies all have at the very least 20k apes, some have much more than that. They’re extremely strong infection vectors. This means that as soon as a country with a colony inside it starts turning yellow (which means it has a good chunk of its population infected already), you should displace the colony towards an uninfected country. The biggest examples are : China to Japan, Central Africa to Madagascar, West Africa to Caribbean. You can also use India to infect either one of the nearby island nations (Philippines/New Guinea), either send it all the way to Sweden to help with the infection of the cold countries. And after the infection is finished there ? Move again! Keep your colonies moving to help with the infection. As a last note though : ignore Greenland and Iceland. Yes, you read that right. With the Simian Flu you win when the survivors reach a critically low threshold, but not zero. You can win even if no one is infected in these countries. Feel free to send apes there if you feel too rich though, but it’s not needed.
Second, the disease itself : start with getting the neural symptoms : Neuro-Enhancement 1&2&3 and then Total Brain Failure, your biggest weapon. Afterwards, aim for Hemorrhagic Shock and Meningitis. Your disease at this point is so infectious that the risk of killing people too fast is close to null, especially since NZ will be fully infected or close to it. At one point you’ll likely get a huge spike of DNA due to the absurd infection rates of your disease, you can use this to evolve Genetic Hardening 1, Genetic Reshuffle 1 and Hardened Reshuffle : not that the cure is any threat to you (it should be below 10%), but just to get a better score. You also have the option to get even more symptoms. That’s the point at which you’re rich as ♥♥♥♥ because you’re getting 10 DNA per colony and you have 7 of them and you're also getting DNA from all the kills. For this reason I also like getting the cloaking abiities to make sure my apes stay alive.

You should win in about 460 days with 10% cure research or less… and that’s enough to get you 67-68 points and thus your biohazards. Whoever wants to try in Brutal or more : be my guest, but I don’t think it’ll work because in higher difficulties the colony ability costs too much, which means we would likely have to do with only 6 or maybe 5 of them, and thus end up DNA starved at key points. But feel free to prove me wrong!
Final Words
There you go, I know it’s a bit long but there’s a reason not many people have this achievement right now (also I know that I’m rambling at times :D ). I hope you find here all the information you need to complete this achievement. Feel free to ask for some more information if you’re still struggling with one of the pathogens, especially now that you can't do it in Casual anymore.

For anyone that's just finding this guide now and struggling with Parasite, using Catalytic Switch and Sympto-Stasis instead of the listed mutations will let you net a 3 star on normal fairly handily. Symptom costs increases are brutal, while ability costs increases are really minor, and the blue bubbles are a lot more reliable for more of the run than the orange bubbles are.

...and as soon as i say that i get 3 stars with prion lmao

This works great for everything, except Prion for some reason. I just can't beat that one with 3 stars.

Well fwiw I do still read comments around here even if I haven't booted up the game in forever. You might be right about the Parasite, it was always one of the pathogens with which I struggled the most. I'd much rather have some kill-y Virus or Bio-Weapon than a slow-ass, lame Parasite.
From what I remember, I moved the colonies to provide easy access to the other continents for the infection phase, but it's true that it costs time. Maybe staying in Africa for a while is worth it - it's certainly worth considering.

I got the lava god achievement easily with this guide, thanks for the help!

I think you might be torturing yourself with Parasite though. If you used Patho-stasis instead of Sympto-stasis, that might be the problem since I got a score of 80k with Sympto-stasis. Either that or I just got insanely lucky and didn't even know.

Also with the Simian flu, having five colonies (Central Africa, West and East Africa, Sudan and India) instead of six and leaving them where they were was more effective and fast than moving them around since it used less DNA, but I had to move one colony to Canada, because it's Canada.

I know this guide is old but I just like writing comments
