Introduction
It has been around six years since the release of Geometry Dash 2.1, but RopTop continues to release new teasers for Geometry Dash 2.2. This guide will serve the purpose of documenting all teasers for Geometry Dash 2.2 until it is released!

Note: This guide may miss some minor teasers. Please refer to the comments to suggest teasers that aren't mentioned. Additionally, some things may be incorrect or misinterpreted by accident. This guide was not made to mislead any players, it only serves as a compilation for new and returning players.

#1 - Swingcopter (March 8, 2017)

https://twitter.com/RobTopGames/status/839463463848148992

  • Showcases the new gamemode, dubbed "Swingcopter" or "Swing Copter" by the community due to lack of an official name.

#2 - Fun with 2.2: The Random Trigger (November 11, 2017)

  • Introduces a random trigger that selects one (or multiple) option out of various options.

#3 - Fun with 2.2: Camera Controls (November 29, 2017)

  • Zoom in or out of point of view.
  • Offset the camera (more left, right, etc.).
  • Static the camera (camera stays still but character continues to move right).
  • Free fly mode (use ship, and perhaps other modes like UFO, to go further up and down compared to the top and bottom restrictions of the ship in 2.1).

#4 - Fun with 2.2: Where am I going? (December 1, 2017)

  • Within static camera mode (camera stays still, but character still moves), you may go right ("forward") or left ("backwards"), kind of like a platform level.

#5 - Geometry Dash SubZero (December 21, 2017)

https://twitter.com/RobTopGames/status/940635897183207425

  • Mobile app that allows players to play levels using new 2.2 features.

#9 - eheheheheh (February 22, 2019)

  • If enabled, you can manually choose the direction in which the character goes towards (left or right), essentially allowing custom inputs, which can introduce high-quality game and puzzle levels in the future. It is no longer solely "get to the finish line."

https://twitter.com/RobTopGames/status/1116881292560412672

  • Image showing thirty (30) new gauntlets.

#11 - Uhm... (May 13, 2019)

  • Geometry Dash is now smart: Auto-rotation allows you to place blocks very quickly without having to manually rotate the side blocks or blocks facing downward.
  • You can now modify previously 2D blocks into a 3D shape.
  • You can now more easily modify the shape of multiple blocks to be bigger, smaller, wider, narrower, etc. in the editor.
  • You can now allow the player to see a structure actively change shape (bigger, smaller, wider, narrower, etc.) while playing in a level.

#12 - Better Random Trigger (May 24, 2019)

https://twitter.com/RobTopGames/status/1131937747319611394

  • Enhanced random trigger system allows for specific percent chance of occurrence.
  • Makes levels more unique with every playthrough.

  • A bunch of different new animations. Mostly for fire and lasers.

#14 - NewEditorSystem (January 19, 2020)

  • Fill a template with a design, then use that template on basic blocks/structures to easily create a theme in a level. The template works with all kinds of blocks/structures.

#15 - Smooth (July 31, 2020)

  • Different possible walking animations.
  • Shows the Robot having its regular animation, feet-kicking-forward animation, and a circular movement animation.

#16 - Uhm... (August 3, 2020)

  • New movement based on the speed of the character (different animations for different speeds).

#17 - Official Update 2.2 Sneak Peek (August 14, 2021)

    • New camera angles, such as the zooming in and out and 90-degree turns.
    • Player moving in new directions (not completely left to right).
    • New gamemode (dubbed by the community as "Swingcopter" or "Swing Copter" as it lacks an official name).
    • Markings in portals that may allow players that are colorbind to know what gamemode they are changing into.
    • Markings in orbs to allow players to know what happens when they interact with them.
    • Time Warp, or slow motion, seen just before the player goes into the "Swingcopter" mode.

    • Platforms that move back and forth to transport the player (or other items perhaps).
    • Custom particle effects, such as particles coming out when the spikes hit the ground.
