Halcyon Enterprises - Universa Light Utility Vessel

As President of Halcyon Enterprises, I'd like to present our loyal customers with a new design to commemorate my 33rd trip around the sun. This is the UNIVERSA Light Utility Vessel - a compact yet feature packed offering that may soon become your home away from home.

The UNIVERSA is the culmination of over a year of hard work by our engineering team here at Halcyon Enterprises. Our goal was to create a compact vessel that included everything necessary for survival on the frontiers of space; one that could also serve as a home base for a small crew of engineers.

Hybrid Propulsion - Hydrogen thrusters provide propulsion in atmosphere and in the vacuum of space. Once the vessel is outside an atmosphere, the pilot has the option to switch to Ion thrusters to conserve hydrogen fuel.

Hybrid Power - Power can be generated in multiple ways. 10 small fusion reactors provide plenty of primary power when fueled with uranium. An array of 8 solar panels on the bottom of the hull can generate secondary power when exposed to sunlight. The provided hydrogen fueled generator can generate secondary power from hydrogen fuel. An array of 26 batteries is provided to store excess generated power for later use.

Cargo Space - Ample cargo space is provided for storing small vehicles, cargo crates, or anything else that will fit. Dimensions of usable cargo area are approximately 6 m wide × 25 m deep × 4.5 m high. This cargo space is fully sealed and climate controlled within the interior of the vessel. A large container is also provided for storing approximately 422 m³ of loose cargo. The provided ramp at the rear of the vessel can be used to load vehicles and other cargo through the main loading gate.

Industrial Production - A basic refinery and industrial refinery provide refining support for mining operations. The survival kit and industrial assembler provide dual fabrication queues that can be used to create both basic and complex components for construction or repairs.

Communications - A long range RF antenna provides traditional communication and broadcast capabilities. There is also a beacon that can be used for distress calls or simply to locate the vessel. A remote control module and camera allow the vessel to be flown by remote. Dual tight beam antennas (one on each side) allow communication with other tight beam equipped vessels or stations.
