Supersonic's United States Armory

Omschrijving
Version: 1.2

This mod adds a few guns produced (Or designed) by the United States in the early 20th century. Currently the included guns are the M1903 Springfield, the M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle, the M1 Carbine, M1 Garand, the prototype Garand T31 rifle, and a fictional spacer LMG based on early bullpup BAR Prototypes. It will also adjust the "Crashlanded" scenario to start with a Springfield and Autopistol instead of a Bolt Action Rifle and Revolver.

Note: To try to keep this mod "vanilla friendly" these new rifles will appear in your game as "Bolt-operated rifle", "Automatic rifle", "Self-loading carbine", "Self-loading rifle", "Bullpup battle rifle", and "Advanced Bullpup". However, if you have the Combat Extended installed, they will appear as "M1903", "M1918", "M1 Carbine", "M1 Garand", "T31". and "B5000"

CE Compatible? Yes

Should be safe to add or remove mid-save

True, atlhough it is worth mentioning that the 1903 is pretty much just a "Totally not Gewehr 98".
I maintain a m1919a6 would be cool though. Put it in like, blowback, for an early powerful Machinegun.

The T31/B5000 were just for fun (B5000 isn't even real it's a spacer gun from my imagination inspired by early bullpup BAR prototypes)

M1928/M3 would be useless for endgame CE gameplay, not a big fan of SMGs personally for this reason, and I make the mods for myself and my own gameplay (I think they would still be cool to add for CE tribals to spawn with though). I may get around to those but they aren't a priority for me. The M1917 isn't a bad idea but I'd have to probably do a scoped version to fill a different role than the M1903

Good observation about the BAR - I actually designed it using this as an inspiration : https://www.reddit.com/r/ForgottenWeapons/comments/g7x0uk/a_very_unique_m1918_bar_specially_made_for_jungle/ , so it is actually meant to be chopped down. This was done to save on weight/bulk to help fill a different niche than the LMG/Degtyarev DP does.

why add unpopular weapons like the t31 and b5000, wouldn't it be better to add the m1928, m3, m1917 ??? and don't you think that the barrel of the m1918 is too short, can you fix it?

@Corbloc -- that is a really cool pack! However, there is soon going to be a system included with CE that will make weapons entirely modular, so something like this may end up being a bit crude in comparison to what is in the works already.

@Abrikos75 -- I may do that eventually, I am a big fan of 20th century weaponry

@Belial03 - ya lol

@Tophat - Something like the KJ rifle would probably be in a different pack since it's of Norweigan origin. To be honest, I am trying to avoid the sub machine guns because I feel like while playing CE they don't usually work out too well for player usage in most situations. That doesn't really mean I won't do it though, I probably still will be adding the Thompson eventually. Next on the list for this pack right now is the "Sieg" battle rifle, which was basically a bullpupped .30-06 that never actually went into service.

maybe you will even make a pack of weapons 20th century, with vanilla-style textures
