The CR-Z is a compact coupe sports car equipped with a hybrid engine produced and sold by Honda Motor Co., Ltd.

The CR-Z is a passenger car that combines sportiness with the enjoyment of driving even in a hybrid car where reduction of environmental load is prioritized.

The 2 + 2 lightweight sports package is reminiscent of the CR-X and the original Insight. Vehicles that are conscious of the global environment and will be released after 2008
Honda calls it "Honda Green Machine", and CR-Z is "Green Machine No. 3".

The hybrid system will be equipped with a 1.5L i-VTEC engine and a Honda IMA system.



In 2012, minor changes were made, including improvements in power performance, and at the same time, a grade equivalent to Type R called Mugen RZ was sold in a limited number of 300 units.
