College Guards

Descrição
WIP / Testing

This mod just adds some guards to the College of Winterhold. There are college guards in the creation kit that I've never seen used in the game and wondered why, especially since it always seems that dragons attack when you're alone in the courtyard, or at the foot of the bridge.

This puts two guards at the foot of the bridge, with a little guardhouse (that you can sleep in) and two more at the courtyard entrance. All have various ice spells and a staff of Thunderbolts. (I have fixed the vanilla staff weakness, and it now does actual thunderbolt damage, rather than lightning bolt.)

Each also has a College Guards Dagger, which is a little lighter, a little quicker, and does a little more damage. They should be a pretty big help with dragon attacks, and will intervene in dragon, vampire, and bandit attacks in town as well.

Thanks to Bethesda, GIMP, and Nifskope. Feel free to use as you like, but please credit me if you reuse in a mod.

Update: I added some fire and conjuration spells, added the left hand of mage armor (they weren't using what they had) and upped their hit points a bit. They're still not as strong as the regular guards for melee combat, but they're pretty potent magically.

I've been testing the changes I made, and had to make a few more. Wheneven I give them Thunderbolt, that's all they use. If I don't give it to them, they alternate between fire and ice, and then use their thunderbolt staff when they run out of magicka. That seems to be the best for variety, and they now do use flesh spells so they have more armor rating than they originally had.

*Edit 8/27/2014 - Fixed enchantment issue with dagger. Rechecked with TES5edit.

*Edit 9/21/2014 - Added a variant dagger and a guard shield to the guardhouse. The dagger with the college medallion is enchanted with fire and does not respawn. The dagger with the destruction symbol and lighter blade is unenchanted and respawns, as does the shield. Both have the same stats.

*Edit 8/12/2015 - Reduced navmesh in guard hut, to prevent NPCs from running into furniture/walls.

Hi Nightshade, and Firefly. I'm sorry, but I don't have Skyrim or Skyrim creation kit installed anymore. If anyone wants to add this to the mod, they're more than welcome, but I'm not able to do so. Sorry.

Hi, I was wondering if you maybe could add 2 more guards at the college to protect the Archmage's room? Could place them out in the walk area just infront of the Archmages's room? I ask this cause people walk thru that area all the time unchallenged and surely the Archmage could use some bodyguards when he is in his room.

Really cool mod, this was needed for immersion at the College. May i suggest you taking a look at "Mage Armor I: Battlemage" mod. This would be epic, and lore friendly for the mages, like an improved version of battlemages in Oblivion.

Thank you again, Lianas. There should be a special College shield, down in the guard shack, too.

Also, I like the College of Winterhold Mark on their shoulder.

WHAT!? That is bad luck, or powerful magicka. Okay, what have you been doing in the Midden?

That sounds about right. The main reason I put them in is, on my last couple of characters, the college seems to have been dragon, bandit, bear, vampire, necromancer, all-at-once.
