The game doesn't feature a decent in-game tutorial, basically all you need to know is press M on the keyboard which brings up the area map. from there just follow the current objective and your good to go.

Some immediate things I was puzzled about which might help;

As you progress through the game you will encounter save points, as you discover them they will be unlocked on the Map as a fast travel point. Selecting the node will allow you to fast travel to that save point if already previously discovered.

fall down to the ground and head east to a wall, use your dash to slip under and enter the doorway to the

after defeating the boss head left and jump over the ladder and jump down to the lower passage. continue to
zigzag to the end
once there you will find a platform with a purple teleport pad, interact with the pad to teleport back to the
catacomb 2.
after being returned to catacomb 2 (25) pay attention to the background as you move to the right of the room
looking for a stone table with a triangle symbol above it.
while walking near the table, a red arrow should appear, interact with it to unlock the door in catacomb 3 (26)
area.
 
Chase the Fairies (Areas: 26, 28) !! BOSS Fight: Gluttonous Mummy !!
Proceed right and zig zag down to where you had talked to the fairies in catacomb 3 (26) or fast travel to save
point in catacomb 3 (26)
from the save point drop down and turn right and follow the passage to catacomb 5 (28) and proceed right to fight
against the boss
once the boss has been defeated take the door to the right which leads to prison rooms.

Guide: Pt. 6: Save the Fairies (Areas: 28, 29)
head to the far right of the room to find another save point then go through the hole in the wall to free the fairies
Once you enter the prison you will find 9 fairies that need saving and a destruction percentage at the
top.
you need to destroy 90% of all destructible in that area before taking the door at the bottom to the prison cell.
in the prison cell you will find the last fairy and be able to destroy the rest of the destructible
once you have a destruction rate of 100% you may return to the prison area and leave through the hole in the
upper right of the room.
you will appear on a slope, head right to the ledge and jump down into catacomb 6 (29)
 
Optional (Areas: 40, 69)
               Instead of jumping down, jump up and take the exit to the left this will bring you to Back
Door Of the Old Catacomb Entrance (40)
               From there make your way towards the exit, when you reach the last gate before the
exit of the area, jump up high and to the left.
               You will be able to land on top of the level and you should be able to move to the left
to a secret door which leads to the Mansion of Ordeals (69)
               Then Mansion of Ordeals (69) is where you can obtain the gunslinger costume if you purchased
the DLC.
               However,they make you survive waves of enemies without taking damage so getting the DLC
can be extremely frustrating to unlock after buying

dropping down from catacomb 5(28) beware of jumping in the water as there are many leeches
swim out of the water to the right to find a locked gate, attack the gate to break the chains

proceed through Closed Area 1(30), Closed Area 2 (31), Closed Area 3 (32), Closed Area 4 (33) and Sewage
Management Area (34)

attack the turning handle until the water level lowers down to the ground
head back to the middle of the room jump up and make sure to save at the save point.
Jump down from the save point to enter through the middle door of the room.
As soon as you enter the next area, to the right of you are two Gluttonous Mummy mini bosses
Defeat both bosses to unlock the doorway to the next area.
 
Step (Areas: 33, 34) !! BOSS Fight: Vivi !!
after defeating the two Gluttonous Mummy boss exit the Sewage Management Area (34)
and enter back into the back side of Closed Area 4 (33)
jump to the middle platform in this room and interact with the wall to reveal a hidden doorway
enter this doorway to enter Vivi’s laboratory and to start the boss fight with Vivi
after defeating Vivi you will be returned back to the abandoned building (2)

After defeating Vivi, return to Closed Area 4 (33) and enter the portal

Enter the Spider Ruins House and talk with Chibi Gori, after enter the door next to him
follow through the corridor and to the next room until you find the sparking item on the ground next
to 4 zombie that are chained to the wall. Pick up the item to obtain the basement key
head back to the main room with Chibi Gori but head to the right of the room and take the stairs
down to the basement.
fight you way across to the end where the honey room then wait for Chibi Gori to thank you
Make you way out of the basement and back to the main room
once you proceed to the left to leave the boss fight with Chibi Gori will start

once you have defeated Chibi Gorihead back where you found the basement key
where you will find a nest of spiders hanging from the ceiling.
after killing the nest of spiders,you will also be attacked by 4 zombies

jump up into the ceiling to enter the top of the roof of the spider ruins house
step jump directly to the right to enter Mount Heidel (53)
make your way through the mountains until you read two standing statues
pass through the middle of them to enter the Old Bridge (54)
proceed across the bridge to enter the Quinn Village Entrance (55)

after she gives you the medicine fast travel back to the Quinn Village Entrance (55)
enter the Quinn Village (56) then enter the door to the far left of the area to return to Midea
talk with Midea and she will tell you to dump the medicine into the hot spring
Leave the house and head to the left to the Cliff (57) and defeat all enemies in this area

once all the enemies have been defeated at the cliff return to Quinn Village (56)
then talk to Blanc who should be waiting at in front of the house.
Follow her left back to the cliff(57) and down to the hole to the hot spring (58)
interact with the clothing rack to enter the hot spring (59) walk to the middle of the hot spring until you see
it turn red
leave the hot spring (59) and exit the hole to the hot spring (58) back to the cliff (57)
there Blanc should be waiting at the elevator, talk with here are she will inform you
to jump off a ledge to reach Vivi

once on the ledge jump straight up to reach the Mountain Peak (60)
Once in at the Mountain Peak (60)jump up the ledge to fight Melusine
after you have defeated the boss,you will be returned to the house in Quinn Village (56)

once you enter the Evacuation Shelter (62) a cut scene will play out
after the scene head to the middle of the area past the guard and enter the door
to the Residential area (63) to trigger another cutscene
after leave the Residential area (63) and proceed to the right of Evacuation Shelter (62)
Take the elevator down to the under-ground area where you will fight a gang of men
after defeating the gang, you will be respawned in the Residential Area (63)
Guide: Pt.17: Explorer the Cave (Areas: 62, 63, 64, 65)
in the Residential Area (63) head through the first floor and reach the second floor
enter the first door from the left of the second door
talk with rose and tell here you need a bomb.
after will be re-spawned to the Evacuation Shelter (62)
head to the far right and take the elevator down and take the far door to the right to
the Underground Cave (64) proceed right break the door and take the second elevator down.
head to the end to find a pile of rocks interact with them to use the bomb to clear the rocks
follow through the end of the cave until you reach an archway to that exit to the swamps Near the Border (65)

talk with the wounded solder then leave the side trail and continue right to reach the boss

Guide: Pt.19: Destroyer (Powered Up) !! BOSS FIGHT (Areas: 62, 63)
fast travel back to the Evacuation Shelter (62) and enter then Residential Area (63)
enter the first door from the left and talk to Blanc to start a cutscene
after the cutscene talk to Blanc again and say yes to confronting the doppelganger
another cutscene proceeds then leads into the boss fight with the Destroyer
Guide: Pt.20: Under Attack (Areas: 62, 63)
after defeating the destroyer make your way back to the entrance of then Residential Area (63)
there talk to Grise who well tell you to rescue Noir.
After talking with Grise jump over the rocks to the left and enter the door to the chieftain
then leave the room after the cutscene and head back to Grise on the right side of the rocks
Enter the Residential Area (63) and enter the first door from the left and kill all the zombies
Once the zombies are cleared out Rose will take you to the hidden room and tell you save Blanc
Leave the Residential Area (63) back to the Evacuation Shelter (62) and go to the right.
Take the elevator down to the Under-ground cave and proceed all the way to the end to find Blanc
Guide: Pt.21: Eleanore !! BOSS FIGHT (Areas: 2, 63, 67)
head back to the Residential Area (63) and make your way to the top floor
to the Observation Mountain (67) and talk with Vivi
next head right and jump over the cliff where you will find Vivi waiting again
Talk with her and tell her your Ready to fight Eleanore
Vivi summons Eleanore and the boss fight begins
after defeating Eleanore the game concludes and the credits roll, congrats!!
you will be able to save a clear game which gives you access to the secret room

Description:
After defeating the boss, head below and you will read a dead end. Jump on the platofrm with the teleporter and attempt to jump to the upper right of the room.

No.09 Bottom left of dark hole 1
Description:
Far left of this room

No.10 Dark hole 3, "Under the floor at the upper right entrance"
Description:
As you enter the area you will see the stone below the ground, head to the left around the platform

No.11 Dark hole 3, "On the roof on the left in the center"
Description:
Before the secret passage through the wooden structure, jump above on top of the roof

No.12 Dark hole 3, "In the water on the lower right"
Description:
before exiting the area there is a small hidden hole which can be jumped down

No.13 Inside the air raid shelter, under the floor at the entrance
Description:
While first entering this area it will be pitch black, you need to blindly navigate the maze and kill the enemies guarding the holy sword. Once you have obtain the sword the lights will be restored and you can travel back towards the entrance. there is a narrow passage below the floor which you can jump up through to get to the stone.

* this glitched for me and I had to start a new game to get it to work.
DOT NOT GET THE RING FROM THE ALTER,
after master chief dies you'll get his ring and read the inscription. Then as soon as you goto the alter second and get the ring and read the inscription.
This seems to be a bug but it was hard to find specific details on it

@Walker or for anyone confused. After beating the game, the secret room is in the Abandoned Building up stairs between the exit and the Ceremony Room. You'll see Staff & Cast on the wall. keep moving forward until you see pink portal. Go into the portal, and defeat Humanized Mel. You can buy her summon and get her *kiss* skill. Hope this helps ^^

You need to have beaten the game to get into the secret room, then there is like a black rock that will take you into a fighting match with Mel. When you beat Mel she will give you a new ability that you can equip and it lets you blow a kiss at enemies. Then if you replay the game up to where Mel breaks into the shelter. There is a section where she is disguised as the angel of light. Later you confront her and prove that she is an imposter. My memory is a bit foggy but I think before you do that I think you can blow a kiss at her? if not then it's later on when shes outside the shelter after you revive her... hope that helps

when you say Meryu kiss do you mean Melusine kiss?
if so i try to apply the kiss but it doesn't work, in the boss it don't work and in the training room it doesn't work, do i need to restart my whole game and play from the beginning?
