(Read this guide first!!)

So, after the general knowledge episode, let's talk about what the scout should have and do.
In this guide I will talk about recommended loadout, optimized upgrades and things to do throughout the mission.

Weapons of choice
No more bull craps this time, let's get to it. I also underlined the main point of the weapons.
Primary weapons

For the primaries, I only recommend 2 weapons. and that is the Shortstop and the Soda Popper.
These weapons will deal massive and continuous damage when you are attacking the tank. They are suited for this mission because of it's reloading method, filling the entire clip in just 1 reload animations.

Why not the force-a-nature?
Although this weapon also reloads in one go, it's knockback mechanic will have negative impact on you here. in this mission scout is always constantly jumping around and shooting. If you lose control over your momentum, especially during the crit robots waves, you can lose a lot of health and even get killed.

Secondary weapons
Do not use Pistol, Flying Guillotine and crit-a-cola. Pistol and the guillotine will not deal sufficient damage to the enemies and crit-a-cola makes you more vulnerable. Use:

The Mad Milk

The assist weapon that makes a huge difference in your team's survival. Throwing it at the giants will make demoknights, spies, pyro and heavy survive longer when they are attacking them up close because they are constantly healing themselves while attacking the giants. Do not throw it at small robots except spies because that doesn't help the team much.

After the 2nd tank+spies wave, I recommend switching to:
Bonk! Atomic Punch

Since there will no longer be any giants during the entirety of 8th wave, which is the one with 75 crit robots, The mad milk will not do much help there.
Using the refunding trick I mentioned in EP0, upgrade the drink to max and drink it before jumping into the huge pile of robots. This will make picking money in the frontline a lot easier and you won't have to keep spending money on ubercharge canteen.

The Melee Weapons is just gonna be fan o war. what else do u expect?

Yeah, nothing else. This weapon makes giant receive mini-crit damage so it's really good.

You might say The Sandman also has marked to death upgrade, but as you said, upgrade, it's better to just use Fan O' War because you don't need to spend money on it. As long as you still have high amount of hp and has the appropriate resistance upgrade, melee hitting the giants usually won't risk your life.
Upgrades before the mission
This is my version of upgrade before the mission begins. The upgrades will change frequently as the mission goes on.

Walkthroughs A
This is my kingdom come ways of progressing through the mission as a scout.
When I play scout I have multiple priority:

  1. Picking up money
  2. Managing bomb carrier if necessary
  3. Destroying the tank
  4. Throwing mad milk to giants and marking them to death (*only throw it at giants)

These task needs to be done at all times throughout the mission, no exception.

Wave 1: 32 Constantly Firing pyros, 30 Bonk Crit Melee Scout, 12 Giant Crit Demoknight
The money robots drop:
Scouts - 300 (10 each)
Pyros - 200 (6 or 7 each)
Giant Demoknights - 200 (16 or 17 each)
Total - 700

As the robots drop from above, unless you are overhealed by medic or else DO NOT GET CLOSE TO THEM IMMEDIATELY. Even with all the resistance upgrade, the robots still deal a lot of damage and with 125 you will get killed immediately. Start off by killing some small robots and remain distance. Then pick up the money after sometime for overheals.

When the demoknights drop, throw milk at them immediately. The 2 points of +recharge rate should be enough for each group of them. Now again, don't mark them to death unless you're overhealed. It's not wise to get behind them unless you're trying to pick up credits, because they will chase you instead and leave the bomb carrier giant, thus making others unable to chain damage on them.

After this wave is done, return to the base immediately, refund all fire resistance upgrade and choose full blast resistance, then click one more point of recharge rate.
If you didn't collect all the credits, blast and crit resistance is the top priority.
---------------------------------------------------------
Wave 2: 10 Uber Medics, 10 Giant Charged Soldiers
The money robots drop:
All of them drop 400 with 20 each.

Start throwing mad milk after at least 3 of the pairs dropped down. The reason to upgrade one more milk recharge rate is because the giants all spawn at once so you need to keep throwing milk at them after the effects go away.

In the mean time, try to hunt down the uber medics. If you're using soda popper you should be able to 1-shot them, but if you're using shortstop, mark it to death before shooting it.

After this wave is done, return to the base immediately, refund all crit resistance upgrade and choose full bullet resistance, then refund a point of recharge rate.
if you didn't collect all the credits, bullet resistance is the top priority.
---------------------------------------------------------
Wave 3: 40 Heavyweapons, 40 Soldiers, 5 Giant Heavies, 5 Giant Rapid Fire Soldiers
The money robots drop:
Heavyweapons - 300 (7 or 8 each)
Soldiers - 300 (7 or 8 each)
Giant heavy - 200 (40 each)
Giant soldier - 200 (40 each)
Total - 1000

This is the wave where the engineer struggles to keep his sentry alive. You need to actively run around the frontline to be a bullet magnet and aim the bomb carrier in the mean time. When the 2 giants drop down, you should mark the giant heavy to death first because it's harder to kill than the giant soldier.

Before the last group of robots/ last 2 giants drop down, Fall back to spawn (you can choose to pour milk on them first) and refund all the blast resistance and upgrade full crit resistance again.
For the primary weapons, upgrade full damage, clip size and ammo capacity. Lastly, buy 3 crit canteens.

If you didn't collect all the credits/ are using the shortstop, even out upgrades between bullet, crit resistances and ammo capacity.
---------------------------------------------------------
Wave 4: 40 Crit Scattergun Scouts, 3 Tanks with each having 35000 health
The money robots drop:
Scouts - 600 (7 or 8 each)
Tanks - 600 (200 each)
Total - 1200

As soon as the tank breaks the gate, activate crit canteen and start firing at the tank. (hold left click) Using 1 crit canteen you can deal 4320 damage with soda popper (360x12) and 4896 damage with the shortstop (288x17). When attacking without any buff, stick to the tank for maximum point black damage.

After shooting 2 or 3 clips you should start going back to the frontline to pick all the money robot scouts dropped, then go back to attacking the tanks again. Go back to spawn to buy more crit canteen if necessary.

When the tanks are almost destroyed, stick to it so as soon as it explodes all the money gets sucked by you and you can go back to the front immediately.

After all of them are dead, go back to spawn and replace all bullet resistance with blast resistance, upgrade mad milk to full and buy crit canteen again. At this point you should be able to upgrade without refunding again.
If you are using shortstop (upgrade the last ammo capacity btw) and/or don't have more money for any reason, prioritise upgrading crit and blast resistance.
Walkthroughs B
Wave 5: 40 Crit Demoknights, 40 Giant Rapid Fire Demomans, 1 Tank with 40000 health

The money robots drop:
Demoknights - 500 (12 or 13 each)
Giant demomans - 500 (12 or 13 each)
Tank - 600
Total - 1600

The groups of giant demomans drops down very quickly, so having mad milk's recharge rate upgraded to full will prove to be helpful here.

When the tank appears after the third group of giant demomans, you should change your focus to the tank and only need to occasionally throw milk at the giants. This is because sometimes your team might not be experienced enough to decide which to focus will be better, attacking the tank can let it be destroyed too lately (some time after first alert) and let the bomb carriers go too far to the base.
If the bomb carriers are almost to the last defence area (the place where buzzers ring) go focus on them first.

After this wave is finished, you should have enough credit to maximize your upgrades.

all upgrades on resistance, (and jump height if you want)
all damage, clip size (*, firing speed for shortstop) and ammo capacity on soda popper,
max mad milk with some spare money for canteens later.
If you have cannot complete these upgrades, you can spare the money to upgrade fire resistance and jump height later and use it for other upgrades.
---------------------------------------------------------
Wave 6A: Minicrit Buff Banner Direct Hit Soldiers

The money robots drop:
Soldiers - 300 (7 or 8 each)

With expert AI and direct hit, these soldiers must be distracted by you before they kill everyone else on your team. You need to stay in the front line and use continuous strafing and jumping so soldiers cannot predict your movement, thereby effectively making them miss their shot on you and your team.

After these robots finished spawning, wave 6B starts immediately and you'll have no time going to back to spawn to upgrade so you'll have to upgrade bullet and crit resistance beforehand.
---------------------------------------------------------
Wave 6B: 4 Giant Quick Fix Medic, 4 Giant Crit Deflector Heavy

The money robots drop:
They all drop a total of 400 with 50 each.

You need to kill all the soldiers from the previous wave and pick all money as soon as possible, before the pair drops down. After they drop down, pour the milk on them and mark the medic to death, then go dodge at the small house on the left.

Since you're melee'ing the medic, the heavy usually suddenly change their focus to you. Keep hiding in the small house area for a while, it will continue firing for a while (even when you're not on his sight) then finally stops, right after he stops you enter his sight again he will start spinning his minigun. If you keep repeatingly doing this you're distracting the giant heavy and others doesn't have to take the bullets. If the heavy switch his focus to someone else you can come out and shoot him point black.

Before your team kill the last pair of giant heavy and medic, make sure you have all the necessary upgrades as shown above along with some crit canteen.
---------------------------------------------------------
Wave 7: 96 Spy (not counting support ones), 4 Tanks with each having 42000 health

The money robots drop:
Tanks - 1100 (275 each)
Spies - 200 (2 or 3 each)
Total - 1300

This wave and afterwards can count as the worst waves for scout, as the robots only drop 2 to 5 money each and it's very difficult to find them all if you are aiming for A+. Always make sure to tell your team if they killed something at the random place pick the money for you.

During this wave, there's really not much you can do to help with the spies, even throwing milk won't get rid of them all. That's why what you should do is keep focusing on tanks, keep spraying damage with crit canteen on top of the tanks and go find dropped money to pick.

The reason I keep emphasizing the importance to destroy tanks as scout is most of the time in your team, you are the third or second best damage dealer on tank. If your team doesn't use much crit canteen, it makes your presence even more important.

After all the tanks and the spies are gone, you need to go back to the spawn immediately to refund your mad milk and switch to bonk! atomic punch. Remember to upgrade its recharge rate.

After this wave there are no more giant robots so mad milk does very little here.

Wave 8: The Crit Horde

The money robot drops:
8A, Huntsman - 300 (4 each)
8B, Soldiers - 300 (4 each)
8C, Demomans - 200 (2 or 3 each)
8D, Pyros - 200 (2 or 3 each)
8E, Scouts - 200 (2 or 3 each)
8F, Heavy & Medics - 200 (4 or 5 each)
*The last tank does not drop any money.

This is the wave where even you will die very easily. Stop buying crit canteen and get uber canteen instead.

During these waves you have only 2 jobs, picking up money and distracting robots. Once you switch to bonk! atomic punch, your health will reset back to no longer overhealed. So you must not come to the front at all at the beginning of wave 8A, wait for a lot of money to drop, drink your bonk then finally go front and pick all the money up to heal yourself.

If you're a more advanced player you can try to take part in managing the bomb and keep dodging shots for your team.

Sometimes you might not be able to escape before your miss effect wear off. One way to get out of this trouble is by taking advantage of the robot's massive knockback to knock you back behind. Keep jumping when you're still on slow stun and let the projectiles hit you. If you aren't able to do that for any reason, this is where uber canteen comes into play. You should activate the canteen as soon as you find your health dropping very quickly or you're way too late to go back to cover.

After the wave 8D ends, you can now go and buy crit canteen again to prepare for the last tank. The robot scouts' attack shouldn't hurt too much but do watch out if you aren't overhealed.

When the very final wave starts, the robot heavies have expert AI so they can easily snipe a person to death. Keep drinking bonk and distracting them so your team has a chance. If you're confident in your aim, you can activate uber canteen then charge into them instead, then 1 shot all the medics. DO NOT JUMP during these 2 situations, the heavies will launch you into the sky.
End of the guide!
That's almost all for my guide on scout in ghost town. I might update more some time later, feel free to comment your opinion on these guides!

Author's note:
It's been so long since I'm so determined to finish something big. I need to apologize first because with my study and a lot other stress, it might take a very long time for me to actually finish these. But I promise, I will make all the guides complete and as good as I can.
