there is also Better Survival Meals (Continued) be Mile and it's tagged for 1.4

If Ideology dlc is loaded that mod gives you vegetarian and carnivore variants.
I've used Diet-Compliant Survival Meals on 1.4 and haven't had any issues though.

This is the only recent mod that adds vegetarian/carnivore survival meals even though the base game supports those diet options there are very limited ways to get them.

Please update to 1.4 (@Poodmund feel free to upload a 1.4 version if this mod doesnt get updated for the others of us)

@wil.h.adams, are you intending to update this for 1.4? I've recompiled it against 1.4 and, in testing, it seems to work fine (as you would expect).

One issue I had is, "vegetarian survival meals" don't count as "vegetarian". In other words, a colonist on a "vegetarian" diet will NOT eat them. Caused my colonists to starve when on a Caravan. Not good. I had to create a custom policy as a work-around. I haven't tried the carnivore version; it probably has the same issue.

@Mazamune that could be because eating these foods is not enabled by default so you need to edit the food restriction settings. Once you do it should properly show in the days of food section, that's what happend to me.

i have that bug/missing feature that when i add the item in a caravan group, it does not add to the "days of food" and i do not close the window of that menu nor have that "automatically select travel supplies" ticked.
