I love his paintings

True, the western roman empire was plagued by cultural decadence ( for ex.moral decline of family values, mass orgies, overly extravagant public entertainment and so on) when it fell. We can see many similarities today, particularly when it comes to modern art and culture, but also politics, I mean they literally "elected" a president in the US who is basically senile and behaves "awkwardly" around children, kinda reminds me of those mad emperors who "reigned" over the western roman empire during it's decline.
