when you are a hoarder who keeps around 200 stack weight per material, that scrap box comes in handy. especially if your stash is filled with the chems and other supplies you need (or the items on display that still take up stash space) -- I also sell all of the ammo that I don't use and keep a decent number of 40mm grenade ammo in stash. I keep 3 ammo types on me at all times - 2mm EC (20k), 40mm Grenades (2k), and Fusion cells (6k). -- everything else sits in vendor at 1 cap per ammo except for missiles (10) and mini-nukes (25). you have no clue how much space ammo takes up until you have a lot of it. hell, I have 100 full fusion cores that I keep on me because they don't fit in stash.
