Legends across the Pacific Northwest for their adept warfare and seamanship, the Haida are stalwarts of the region and one of the most famous first nations. They quickly became feared by Europeans encroaching on the region for their capture of ships and resistance to colonisation. Despite this, the Haida are also expert craftsmen, with their totem poles becoming an icon of the art form and a representation of indigenous culture across the continent. The Haida Gwaii remain the heartland of Haida culture to this day, with the sound of potlatches echoing across the isles.

First off, love the mod, and the art! It's great to see mods based on Indigenous civilizations, especially with YnAEMP support. The mechanics stand out as unique among the vanilla civs, and other modded ones!

I'm noticing the same issues as Martin and Max, with the uniques applying to everyone as long as the Haida are in the game. If you wind up figuring this out, let me know! I've seen similar issues in a number of mods, and since I'm interested in creating some of my own, I'd be interested in knowing what causes it

I think the totem pole gives gold for DoFs between ANYONE, not just you. I'm getting 3 gold from each one and I haven't done any friendships at all yet. Maybe some AIs have with each other?

I dropped Haida in a game as an AI while I played Greenland. My units had the option to create a forest. Apparently this UA is also working on the other civs in game. The limit of once per unit did work btw. And thank you for still creating mods! Keep up the good work!

Yeah, it's a known issue with almost all modded improvement graphics and DX9 for some reason - pretty sure it's an issue at Firaxis' end and we haven't figured out a way around it yet. What you could do as a workaround is change the ArtDef in the improvement file from "ART_DEF_IMPROVEMENT_MC_HAIDA_TOTEM_POLE" to "ART_DEF_IMPROVEMENT_MONOLITH_AMER" - this will mean you don't have a graphic while it's under construction but it should show up when complete

Yes; I had to double check to make sure, but it's set to DX9. Also, I tried fiddling with the assets just to see if I could fix things on the back end, and when I disable the Totem Pole art assets, the improvement functions just fine (at least with regards to crashing) albeit without any indication on the map that it's there.
