This is still working as of July. It's not as effective but get the job done

and also brain-free config as there is nothing the user needs to change for the new type controller

Updated to include newer components,
Both old and new controllers still works but definitely recommend the new one as it uses less materials to make

Does this still work?

Whoops I remembered wrong, The heat potential for uranium rods is 80
Not sure what it represents

I think 25 represents a uranium fuel rod, so if you have 4 its 100 but if you have 4 thorium rods it would be 200 if I remember its heat output value right

I've been using a similar setup on all my subs for a while now. It works great, however You should also add an automatic meltdown reactor shutdown just in case. Trust me it'll save lives.

@Marauder223 The in-game automatic control should be set to off.
Marauder223 18 Oct, 2021 @ 5:35pm
is this suppose to run with Automatic controls on or off?

Could do with some better explanation, for example what does the 25 in the lower MEM component actually do, and how should it be adjusted for better or customised performance? The 5,000 looks to be the resting or preferred temperature of the reactor, however the default reactor will operate fine at up to 6,300 before overheating and eventually causing a meltdown.

Note that it's probably still possible for this reactor to overheat if a sudden high load is generated, e.g. by emp attacks, ballast flora infecting the junction boxes, or sudden high demand from full throttle or battery charging; an additional small overload protection circuit can avoid this situation based on reactor temperature and just reducing the fission rate by about 10.
