Forza Horizon 4 é um jogo de corrida em mundo aberto. É o quarto da franquia Forza Horizon e o décimo primeiro da edição Forza. Com um mapa fictício do Reino Unido, Forza Horizon 4 é um dos primeiros jogos a apresentar um sistema dinâmico das quatro estações do ano; Verão, Primavera, Outono e Inverno. Cada estação dentro do jogo durará um semana do nosso calendário real, ou seja a cada uma semana a estação é alterada subsequente, caso o jogador entre em modo cooperativo ou multiplayer de outros jogadores, a estação será sincronizada de acordo com o host. Cada estação tem um impacto diferente na jogabilidade. Algumas áreas do jogo serão acessadas apenas no inverno, como por exemplo, os rios e lagos. O jogo base conta com 450 carros licenciados.

Forza Horizon 4 is an open world racing game. It is the fourth in the Forza Horizon franchise and the eleventh in the Forza edition. With a fictional map of the United Kingdom, Forza Horizon 4 is one of the first games to feature a dynamic system of the four seasons; Summer, Spring, Autumn and Winter. Each station within the game will last one week of our real calendar, that is, every week the season is subsequently changed, if the player enters cooperative or multiplayer mode with other players, the station will be synchronized according to the host. Each season has a different impact on gameplay. Some areas of the game will be accessed only in winter, such as rivers and lakes. The base game has 450 licensed cars.
