Frame rate and pacing is wierd, I blame it either on the video recorder, or editor; the game is very smooth on real hardware and on the emulator;
That said, I still find Quake 3 to be one of the most beautiful game ever made, its visuals have aged like fine wine; the port from PC to Dreamcast was done beautifully well, the texture detail and resolution is incredible; the sheer amount of these that animated, multilayered, as well as environment maped is quite unbelievable too, as is how scenery's shaded and shadowed.
If I had to point something out, it'd be that I find the level of detail, as in how the scenery switches from low, medium and high geomety levels, depending on distance, to be a tad bit too aggressive, but hey, 1999, early Dreamcast title.
Good stuff.
