Map2D

Beskrivning
Turns the map view into true 2d map. Silent Hunter style.
Straight top down view without angled perspective distortions.
No 3d rendered ocean, ships etc... in range circles, only symbols.

I was sick of angled view on the map as it creates distortions which screw up angles. Paralell lines would not appear parallel because of that. This compromised plotting solutions properly on the map.

Also i wanted to get rid of 3d models and water being rendered to the map.
So i fixed that. What came out is basically turning the map view into true 2d map like in Silent Hunter. No more distortion, no more 3d rendering. Only symbols. Correct angles, streight lines.

Yes, I only have this mod activated and the 3D map is still in use - which I hate! While we're in a whinging mood, why is the sea shown as that dull, dirty brown colour? Anybody know if it could be changed to a mid blue?

Not working for me with v1.0 - no 2D map. Maybe I am useing some other mods for the map which changes the map tools..
Wish the 2D map could work, cause I do not like that 3D map

I've just tried with beta preview 21.
The 2D part is working fine.
But I'm still getting the waves when I zoom in, along with external sounds.

Hello.
I've been playing the new 'beta' with 'no contacts' just for the 'inside the sub' sounds. It's OK
but it's not quite what I was hoping for.
I've found I have to play the game mostly in 'real time' now because of the empty map. (too time consuming)
I always used your 2D map mod before the beta.
Is there a chance of updating your original 2D map with the new Hydro\Radar Arcs & contacts to include the Control Room Sounds only,

This MOD is working on 2022. You still get the wind blowing, but that I think is down to the game not having an attack plot map that works.
It would be good if someone make a MOD for an inside the sub plotting map.
