How to fix Fallout 76 game fps (Vsync: Ad-Hoc Solution)
By Economen
I have seen many people with the problem in game performance despite having a good graphics card. In this guide we are going to fix a common problem when you first purchase the game or if you have always wanted to fix this problem. First we have to look for the following path:

This PC> Documents> My Games> Fallout 76> Fallout76Prefs.ini

Then we will have to change inside the file (.ini) open it with notepad (.txt) where we will have to look for the following command:

"iPresentInterval = 1"

You should change to "iPresentInterval = 0", that is to say that instead of 1 it should be 0. Then you save the document (Ctrl + s).

Then you will look at the difference on your computer. This is done at your own risk. It helps significantly in game performance.

I hope I've helped. Greetings!

Both AimMiss and Moon Legs is right. I COULD cause screen tearing but it also could NOT cause screen tearing. It all depends on the refresh rate of your screen and your pc specs. With me, some games benefit from vsync while others benefit from it being turned off. I say that the most important thing is a Frame Cap. Specifically. VSync caps the frame rate too but it seems like in a different way. If I cap a game to 60fps in my Nvidia control panel then my pc is a lot happier. Lmao. To me, 60fps is enough. (idc if you think its bad or that higher is better. im happy with 60fps and thats all that matters)

I wouldn't worry about what Moon Legs said before me. I have played with this setting off since beta. I have never had screen tearing. That is also over the course of two different pc's with at least 1 hardware upgrade for each pc as well, during that time. :VBCOOL:

side effects of disabling vsync (ipresentinterval) are screen tearing. Hake a look when your moving around fast you screen will "rip apart" at this setting. What would make this guide better is a little more insight about what this value does and represents.

Works well, all the nob jockeys that are talking shit need to just try it or GTFO of your post, per usual Bethesda can't optimise games for jack so we have to manually edit values to make the game playable. Anyone saying otherwise obviously hasn't played much Bethesda games and clearly are children by not doing so lol
