Is there any way you could make a variant that is ONLY visible in the IR spectrum ? Meaning it would be invisible to the naked eye , but it can be seen in the infrared spectrum only.

Turn on the laser designator, and then there should be a scroll wheel option to turn on the visible laser. It will only work if the IR laser designator is active.
That is, I see a very small imperceptible red dot in the visible spectrum if you get very close. But there is no such thing as in your picture, there is only a small dot in the thermal imager that can be seen from the sky ...

Probably not going to attempt it at this time, it'd be a big rewrite of the script to get it to work, as vehicle turrets and player units (and more specifically the handheld laser designator) work in very different ways. Probably possible, I might give it a go sometime, but don't hold out for it, it's not big on my to-do list sorry.
