Harbour Tug 'Rahurahu"

Açıklama
Harbour Tug Rahurahu

Introducing the harbour tug Rahurahu, a capable 18m inshore/offshore tugboat. Fitted with twin KO I-16V100/A V-16 marine diesels paired with Voith Schneider VSP propulsion systems, this medium sized harbour tug punches above it's weight class and is extremely manoeuvrable, allowing it to manage heavy tow tasks normally reserved for larger vessels quickly, efficiently, and safely.

Key Features:

  • Powerful towing and pushing capability
  • Superior manoeuvrability
  • Excellent seakeeping, capable of medium range offshore duties
  • Automatic station holding system able to hold position in the most extreme weather
  • Advanced digital control suite including autopilot and integrated map/radar
  • Comfortable quarters and galley facilities for 2 crew
  • Fully automatic engine management
  • Capable firefighting ability

Start Up:

- Enter the wheelhouse
- Hop in the captain's chair
- Turn on bridge power with the key switch
- Turn on both engine master switches
- Press and hold each engine ignition button for a few seconds to start engines
- Start tugging.

Operation:

Use the regular WASD control scheme, but in addition, the Rahurahu is fitted with a propulsion system that allows it to manoeuvre far better than traditional tugs. It can turn in place, and sway under power (strafe) allowing it to be very versatile in it's ship handling duties. Simply use the Left/Right arrow keys to take advantage of this feature.

There is a cruise control switch on the left of the seat that swaps the WS controls to sticky, allowing you to easily maintain a specific speed, or to steam away while not in the captain's chair.

The engines are automatically governed and will increase in RPM as power demand rises, no need to manually manage the throttle. It can be disconnected and manually adjusted if desired via a switch to the left of the seat.

To use the autopilot and other impressive features of ktgs9437's Situation Awareness System it is recommended to check out the instructions via the link.

Please let me know in the comments if you find anything wrong or have any issues.

Hopefully I didn't miss anyone.

Finally like always, other than the things other people made in this, I give full permission for anyone to do whatever they want with it, no need to ask. Re-upload it and call it yours lol, IDGAF.

I agree with comment below. Both engines started and full throttle but not moving. Fuel is good to go just can't get it to move. Very nice Tug Boat otherwise.

I don't know if its me or the boat. but I cant get it to move at all. I can start engines and keep them running, and I can control throttle and gearing. But the boat just sits in one spot and spins slowly.

it wont start?

i personally would classify it as a long range switcher/ short range rescue tug.

Sounds like you are more qualified to decide if it is a switcher than I am lmao
Casual User 9 Şub 2022 @ 20:36
let me specify, a switcher does smaller jobs inside the port like moving barges, assisting in docking ships all that
