Yes, you can use RPG Maker assets in ComiPo! (As long as you have the rights to use the assets. You must own both programs as well as any resource packs you are using). You can also use assets created in ComiPo! in RPG Maker XP, VX, VX Ace, or IG Maker.

Can I use comics that I created for a commercial use?
For the most part, you can use comics created in ComiPo! for commercial projects, such as in pamphlets, websites, commercial video games, and so forth. There is an exception: if they were created with ComiPo! Trial Edition, you are not allowed to use them for commercial purposes.

IMPORTANT: The individual assets included in ComiPo (such as the characters, expressions, props, background, etc.) can only be used in ComiPo!, RPG Maker XP/VX/Ace, IG Maker, and dojinshi works. If you wish to use the assets outside of these programs or works, please consult with the developers by visiting the following page: http://www.comipo.com/en/support/

Can I use an image (for example, comic, graphics or characters) that I created with ComiPo! for use in other software?

However, the individual assets included in ComiPo (such as the characters, expressions, props, background, etc.) can only be used in ComiPo!, RPG Maker XP/VX/Ace, IG Maker, and dojinshi works. If you wish to use the assets outside of these programs or works, please consult with the developers by visiting the following page: http://www.comipo.com/en/support/

Summarize the licensing for me, please!
In short: if you create something using ComiPo! you can use it in any game development program, software, website, etc - for both commercial and noncommercial use. However, you cannot use the individual assets included in ComiPo! outside of RPG Maker XP/VX/Ace, IG Maker, ComiPo! itself, and dojinshi works. If you wish to use the assets outside of these programs or works, please consult with the developers by visiting the following page: http://www.comipo.com/en/support/

Is there a Mac version of ComiPo!?
ComiPo! is a program developed exclusively for use on Microsoft Windows. Unfortunately, there is currently no plan to develop a Mac version. However, it is possible to run the non-Steam version of ComiPo! under a Windows environment on Mac computers using Boot Camp or other virtual machine software. We has tested and confirmed that ComiPo! can be run in the following environments:

Mac: Mac Book Pro (model A1278) + Boot Camp
Windows: Windows 7 Professional

We do not guarantee that ComiPo! will operate correctly on other Mac environments.

In addition, someone was able to run the program in "VMware Fusion 2". In such a case, please try the following steps:

1. Open "Tools > Preference" menu.

2. Check the option "Switch 3D Rendering Method" in "3D Setting > Trouble Measures".

3. Quit and restart ComiPo!

However, the actual results may vary depending on your Mac environment. We do not guarantee that it will operate correctly on other Mac environments as well.

If you have questions about 3D rendering, please refer to FAQ question 29. Also, if you would like to confirm that ComiPo! can run on your system, please try ComiPo! Trial Edition first before making purchase.

Is it possible to use the fonts installed on Windows for commercial purposes?
This depends on the license for the font you intend to use. Some fonts can be used commercially; others can not.

Only the upper part of the character's body is showing: why is this?
This is because some parts of character are out of the camera's viewing angle. Please try changing the camera angle with one of the following methods:

Can I use a comic file (.cpd file) on other PCs?
Yes, as long as the comic file (.cpd file) was created by the same version of ComiPo! that's on the other computer(s). Please be aware that if an additional font is used in speech balloons, it may be replaced by another font if the other user's computer does not have the particular font you are using.

Can I use character data that I created on other computer?
Your character data (.xml file) is saved in a folder that you can open from the "Tools > Open Custom Character Saved Folder" menu. You can use it by copying this file to the same folder on another computer.

FAQ: Technical (Part 2)
The character disappears from the screen after I chose "sitting down in a chair" or "sleeping" poses. Why?

Select the "Camera Angle" button in "Layer Properties" in the top-right corner of the screen and choose the angle you want from the list.

C. 3D Zoom
You can use 3D Zoom if you want a close up or if you want to zoom back out.
C1.You can adjust Zoom level using the "Zoom In" or "Zoom Out" buttons located on the third line of the tool bar.

There is an error when I try to open ComiPo!
Here are some possible reasons:

A. Microsoft .NET Framework is not installed or part of the file is damaged.
Please reinstall ComiPo! or .NET Framework via Windows Update. If you need to download .NET Framework separately, you can download it from the following URL:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/netframework

B. ComiPo! may be blocked by security software.
There is a possibility that the network access required to start ComiPo! might be blocked by the security software. On Steam, such an issue will probably affect Steam as a whole. It may be solved if you create an exception for ComiPo! (and Steam itself, most likely) within the security monitoring software.

To permanently exclude it from being monitored, please check the instructions of your security software.

If none of these suggestions help to solve the issue, please submit a support ticket here: http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/support/contact-us/tech

I am having problems with displaying 3D.
Why does the editing screen not display 3D characters? Why is the outline not displayed around 3D characters? Why does the character seem to be like a shadow picture?

Your computer may not meet the specifications necessary to run ComiPo!. Also, even if it does, your graphics driver or DirectX version may be out of date. Please confirm the necessary system requirements to run ComiPo! at the following page: http://www.comipo.com/en/product/.

If your PC meets the minimum requirements and you are still experiencing problems, please try changing the options:

1. Open "Tools > Preference" menu.
2. Check the option "Switch 3D Rendering Method" in "3D Setting > Trouble Measures".
3. Quit and restart ComiPo!

If the problem still persists, you may need to update DirectX your graphics driver. Please try the following steps:

1. Update DirectX. You can try installing DirectX from ComiPo! installer.
However, we suggest that you should get the latest version of DirectX end-user run-times from Microsoft website. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/directx/

2. Update graphics driver. If your problem is not solved even after you have updated DirectX, please obtain and install the latest version of the graphics driver (or video card driver) from the appropriate vendor support page.

3. Regional format. If your regional format settings on Windows is set to a format other than English, please try changing to English and see if it solved your problem.

Windows XP: Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Regional Options > Format
Windows Visa/7: Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Formats > Format

Why does the character seem to be like a shadow picture?
If you use NVIDIA's graphic card and change the preferences from "NVIDIA Control Panel", this shadow issue may occur. Start "NVIDIA Control Panel" and change the preferences to the following:

[3D Settings] -> [Adjust image settings with preview]
Choose "Let the 3D application decide."

I have previously created a comic in the Japanese version of ComiPo! Can I open it in the English version?
While the developers are making every effort to maintain compatibility, the .cpd files created in the Japanese version of ComiPo! may not be fully compatible with the English version. Some data might be lost when you open the file.

Can I import 3D data that I created with other software?
The “Importing User 3D Data" feature of ComiPo! supports "Metasequoia MQO Files" and "Wavefront OBJ Files." For more details, visit this page: https://www.facebook.com/Manga.Maker.ComiPo?sk=app_208195102528120

I would like to create comics using photos that I took with my digital camera as User Data. How many photos can I use per comic?
There are limits on the size of Comic File data. You may not be able to read or save if you use many camera photo images in a single work. If you are using large images, the limit will likely be approximately 30. If you are using small images, you may be able to reach 50. To be sure, please save your work-in-progress, view it, and see if the Comic File size has reached its limit. (Even if you use identical picture data more than once, it will count as twice.)

If you encounter an error, or fail to save your Comic File data, it is possible that you have exceeded the size limitation. Please attempt saving again after deleting some camera photo images. Also, after Version 1.55, you may be able to save the data using the “Save Only Current Page As…” feature under the File tab and save one page at a time. Please try saving page-by-page if you are not able to save your Comic File all at once.

How many pages can I have in my comic?
The maximum is 32 pages. If you want to have more than 32 pages in your comic, please make another .CPD file.
