Akiad Development presents MECH TECH, a mod comprising a variety of decorative mech-inspired blocks, as well as cockpits and utility blocks. Currently, the block is fairly limited in its content but includes various types of decorative armor plating, multiple functional cockpits, and a functional antenna.

Soon I will be adding mech legs as decorative pieces, before splitting them into multiple rotor and hinge blocks, that can then be attached to one another. As mech legs still arent part of the vanilla game, this is, unfortunately, the only way I am able to make them even semi-functional. I will also be adding a variety of other cockpits, more armor plates, antenna, and miscellaneous mech pieces to make your mechs come to life.

This pack fits exceptionally well with my other mod, Akiad Development - Small Grid Weapon Pack (Find it here:
https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2408838606), and was developed with it in mind. I highly recommend you try both mods together. Neither of the mechs pictured were created by me, and are instead modified versions of the blueprints below. All credit for the mech creation goes to the mod authors!

Step 1: Place your wheel suspensions, these come in both 1x1 and 3x3 currently.
Step 2: Once the suspensions are all placed and the wheels are present, place the decorative treads on top of the suspensions. The tread models are offset just enough to allow for the wheels to clip through the models, making it appear as if they are inside the treads.
Step 3: Adjust your wheel offset, strength, and max speed. The wheel offset has a huge range in order to allow players to fix faulty treads, and what looks correct will vary based on your grid's weight. Mess around with the strength and offset settings until your treads look right. Make sure to lower your max speed, as leaving it at the max has been known to cause wobbly wheels.
