PROJECT OMEN

Research Notes:

OMA-1 has started Project OMEN off on the right foot! It's technology is like nothing the galaxy has ever seen! Despite it's incredible defense, it boasts the maneuverability of most other Archangels. Not to mention it offensive capabilities. Despite not using any ranged weapons, OMA-1 can still hold its own against far away enemies using its shield that can be launched like a boomerang, and it's energy saber which can create projectile energy waves. I think this is the first step towards a new generation of Archangels. I've been too awestruck by its performance to re-create its lost blueprints.

PROJECT OMEN


Astralith was developed after Judgement was stolen by a mysterious blue Archangel. It's design was based on all the data retrieved from the incomplete analysis of Judgement's design. The boomerang shield was improved, and the ability to launch a returning projectile was also implemented into Astralith's melee weapon. The thruster on the back of Judgement was removed in favor of a cannon capable of firing explosive projectiles. Judgement's pilot is currently in a state of shock after his Archangel was almost destroyed in combat. He has said that he still wishes to bring justice to the world.

PROJECT OMEN

Yatagarsu was developed to act as a guard for Astralith's holding facility. It's development was rather cheap compared to other Archangel's, so it was first intended to be the public's first introduction to PROJECT OMEN, as a mass production, high performance Archangel. However, since Judgement was stolen in an event hereby known as, "The Blue Streak Incident", More money was put into its development for Astralith's protection. To allow for a shield to be wielded in Yatagarasu's left hand, its right armament can function as both a ranged and melee weapon, eliminating the need for one of each type to be wielded in both hands. The mass production of OMA-3 is not impossible, as a new Archangel designed to keep the door to Astralith's, and soon all of the PROJECT OMEN Archangels, shut.

PROJECT OMEN

To allow for OMA-3's mass production, an Archangel specifically designed to guard the storing place for the rest of the PROJECT OMEN Archangels. Reactor was designed as a guard and key for the door. It had systems that would emit a signal that would cause the door to open or close. However, not even this was enough protection, as Archangels belonging to the "Successors of Ra" mimicked the signal, broke into the storing place, and stole OMA-3. So now we need to make a better way to open and close the door.

A new gatekeeper for the PROJECT OMEN facility has been constructed. Each of the spinning segments on Core functions as a key, slotting into holes on the facility, and spinning in a specific way to open the door. The "keys" are impossible to recreate without blueprints, due to various microscopic details that distinguish themselves from other parts of the same type. With a new gatekeeper built, we can finally shift focus to actual PROJECT OMEN Archangels.

Following OMA-5's production, the development team figured a breakaway from the large and chunky designs would be most fruitfull. As such, Nightingale is arguably one of the lightest Archangels ever designed, sporting a very minimalistic design, just two hand weapons, and no shoulder or back weapons. While this does wonders for speed, it is somewhat detrimental to its combat performance. However, the speed proved to be most vital in Nightingale's first deployment. The wanted criminal Verdugo was using a wide underground shaft to break into an arms holding facility, likely hoping to strengthen his arsenal. Nightingale was able to pursue him through the shaft, and force him to retreat before reaching his destination.

Saint is more heavily-armed Archangel compared to OMA-6, featuring weapons designed to support melee and ranged combat. The main purpose of Saint was to combat the criminal gang led by Verdugo. They are suspected to be attempting to fortify their minimalistic Archangels with stolen weaponry, as Verdugo had attempted. Several attempted heists were attempted, all of them on the same weapons vault. The only thing that seperated this vault from others is the fact that it contains a most devastating weapon: A Gen-3 Mugenzakura, unstoppable in the hands of a master. Saint was able to hold off the most devestating of these attacks, performed by the swordsman Dorado, who was likely supposed to wield the stolen blade.

The Demolition Demons are an extremist organization known for the destruction they cause. Their former leader, Belgrometh, was selected as the pilot for the latest OMEN Archangel, Bloodlust. Armed to the teeth, Belgrometh was the perfect pilot. He had one condition: He was to seek out the current leader of the DD, BigBoi, and eliminate him. BigBoi had taken Belgrometh's place as leader, and so it seems he has a score to settle. The mission was authorized as a field test of Bloodlust's capabilities, and eliminating the DD would certainly improve to well-being of everyone in the galaxy. During one of the DD's assaults on a city sector in which BigBoi was present, OMA-8 was deployed, and shockingly managed to defeat not only BigBoi, but his two guard Archangels as well. Belgrometh disbanded the DD, and now works as Bloodlust's pilot.

Corpse is a highly experimental Archangel, in its energy source and weaponry. It is powered by a Collapsing Star Enging, which uses a synthetic black hole as a source of energy. This gives Corpse a distinct black glow. Furthermore, it is an unmanned craft, utilizing a AI that was programmed to emulate the SLAYER style, a mysterious school of Archangel training that seeks mastery of the Mugenzakura. The only confirmed members are the psychic Archangel Xeno-7, and the Archangel of Emerald Light, Saqeriama, however we also suspect the Archangel Black Blader to also be a student of the SLAYER style, and so his data was also incorporated. Corpse was sent to find the OMA-3 Yatagarasu that had been stolen. When Corpse reached the desert ruins were OMA-3 was last seen, it found the machine heavily customized by the Succesors of Ra. Corpse succesfuly defeated the Archangel now known as "Ra," but then went rouge, and fled towards an abandoned city.

Quantasonic was deployed in order to chase after the rouge Corpse. OMA-10 is designed for speed above all else. When Quantasonic reached the abandoned city in which Corpse was hiding, the two clashed, OMA-10 emerging victorious. A familiar green light emanated from Corpse's wreck. The light of the Demiurge. The city was enveloped in a green fog, reminiscent of the day of the Manticore, and Quantasonic was met with a familiar sight: OMA-1 "Judgement," now corrupted by Demiurge.

OMA-7 and OMA-6 were sent to support OMA-10. The corrupted Judgement, now known as OMA-11 Armageddon, annihilated all of them. It reduced the city to rubble. The Demiurge had enhanced the Archangel's power immensely, and it seemed like their was no stopping it. The signal of another Archangel was picked up, it was fast approaching Armageddon's location. When a visual feed was established, we saw who it was. A pink Archangel, wielding two Gen-3 Mugenzakuras. A student, or perhaps even the master, of the SLAYER style no doubt. It was a legendary battle, yet that pink Archangel completely overpowered OMA-11, purging the Demiurge. As quick as it came, it was gone. We do not know the identity of the Archangel, but we are grateful for his assistance. With this, PROJECT OMEN comes to an end. Yet still, we do not know who the Blue Streak, the Archangel who stole OMA-1, is, or how it relates to the Demiurge.
