Intro
Hey, you! Yes, you!

Are you tired of chopping trees for hours on end? Are you looking for new ways to express your dominance over the cannibals? Look no further! In this guide, I'll be explaining the basics of successfully enslaving Armsy and forcing him to cut logs for you.

You'll need a few things first, including:
  1. A blunt object with a good block (low damage = good, I generally use an ordinary stick)
  2. A log sled
  3. A second person ideally, though this isn't hard solo
Locating your victim
The first step in this process is to find an Armsy in or around your base. If you've finished the story, you can utilize the artifact to summon a group at-will. Armsies often travel with cannibals and other mutants, so you'll need to eliminate these and secure the area.

Once Armsy's backup has been wiped out, lure him to a nearby wooded area, preferably close to your build site. You'll want to have a sled nearby to collect your logs when you're finished.
Gathering resources
The first thing you'll want to do at this stage is to retrieve your blunt object. You'll also want to keep your block up at all times - if you drop the ball, Armsy will likely gain the upper hand and rebel against your oppression.

Position yourself behind a nearby cluster of trees, like so:

Once Armsy takes a swing at you, he'll knock down 2-3 trees which you can then collect in your log sled. Once you get the hang of this, you'll be able to cut 5-10 trees in the time it takes to chop one with an axe.

Try to stay as close as possible to Armsy. Although it can be tricky to learn his attacks, you'll eventually be able to avoid him with little to no effort. Shorter distance results in more aggression, and thus more trees chopped.
The carrot and the stick
Unfortunately for mutant-tamers everywhere, Armsy isn't all that smart. Though he takes to chopping logs with great enthusiasm, it won't be long before he forgets why he was there in the first place and wanders off without your permission.

This is where your blunt object comes in. Once he loses interest, which you can visibly see when he stops moving and flails his tentacles, you're forced to remind him of the importance of his task.

Simply take your object, like so, and introduce it to Armsy's face.

Once he turns to face you and sees that he's clearly hurt your feelings, Armsy will remember why he was there to begin with, and rush towards you to complete his task with newfound enthusiasm!

Keep in mind that there are only so many times you can jog his memory before he incurs permanent brain damage. It's generally better to use a low-damage object like a stick to maximize the number of times you can smack him. Unfortunately, he will eventually give up and take a permanent nap in your work zone.
Keeping your new pet
Now, you may be wondering, what am I supposed to do with my pet when I'm not gathering resources? Is it possible to keep him around in case I need help?

The short answer is no. Armsy will despawn if you sleep, save and exit, or leave your base. There's no obvious way around this, so you're better off simply acquiring a new Armsy when you require additional labor.

However, if you only need to keep Armsy around for a limited time, and happen to have structure damage turned off, holding onto your pet becomes relatively straightforward. Simply build an enclosure, like so:

Keep in mind that certain materials like sticks can be unreliable, as the hitboxes can glitch, resulting in your poor confused pet being teleported and stranded outside his new home.
Multiplayer
This process can be extremely effective with multiple people. With a larger group of tamers, you can collect logs as you manage your pet leading to increased speed and productivity. However, Armsy can only aggro on one person at a time. So make sure your comrades keep a clear distance from him in order to avoid distracting and confusing him.
Conclusion
Thank you for taking the time to become a part of the Armsy-taming community. If you found this guide helpful, please feel free to rate it and comment below. And as always, have fun avoiding Timmy!
