"A piece of Stellaris fanart based off of an unfortunate event that happened to me in-game.

Once during a Stellaris game, I was doing the Zroni Predecessor storyline.

-For those who don't know, the Zroni is one of the new predecessors which is completed through archeology missions.

WELL. I had found one of the last ones I needed to complete the quest. However, it had an anomaly on it, so I completed the anomaly.

THE PLANET ENDED UP BEING A HOLOGRAM AND DISAPPEARING, SOFTLOCKING ME FROM THE ACHIEVEMENT FOR THAT RUNTHROUGH.

Needless to say, I was angry laughing as Corporate Emperor for the rest of the run."

I don't think this was a hologram, considering the fact that this was a Zroni world. It's most likely that some Zroni survived, but due to time they became a single consiousness which gained control over the relict world, simmilary to one special ocean world. If this is true, that means that the planet itself was insulted by a xeno researchers speach, after which it made "fuck you" moment and disappear. That's what i think the game lore tried to explain but couldn't. Still, this is fucking hilarious. Better luck next time:steammocking:

It even happened when the planet had a moon so there would just be this moon orbiting nothing after the event fired just for added insult.

It's not a bug. It's an anomaly. Essencially, in the anomaly, you find out that the planet you rolled up to wasn't real, but a hologram. It then disapears.

The reason why this is a "bug" is that it affected a relic world that had the Zroni acheological site. It disapeared, soft locking me that run from that achievement and nothing else.
